Queen Victoria Hospital is a specialist NHS hospital providing life changing reconstructive surgery,burns care and rehabilitation services for people across the South of England.

Bill Kear has personal experience of their excellent care after his son Alwyn had an accident,receiving life threatening 45% burns. Alwyn was in QVH for over five weeks, receiving outstandingmedical care and also support for many months afterwards.

Horse Trials is a test for horse and rider, comprising three disciplines – Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross-Country. Here the three tests take place on One Day. The first test is Dressage a set sequence of compulsory movements ridden from memory performed in a20m x 40m arena. The Showjumping phase is one round of jumping, fences knocked down and refusalsincur penalties as does exceeding the time allowed. The third phase is the Cross-Country where a courseof natural obstacles has to be jumped - inside an optimum time. Being over or under the time incurspenalties. Stopping at obstacles or falling off also incurs penalties.The scores from each test are combined on a cumulative penalty basis to produce an overall total. SAFETY INFORMATION: The Organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure thehealth and safety of every person present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take allreasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring & must obey the instructions of theOrganisers, Officials and Stewards.It is advised that due to the uneven and, in parts, irregular terrain at this event it may at times be difficultfor spectators to move around freely and easily, as a result of which, it may not be suitable for thosespectators who suffer from certain medical conditions. All spectators enter the event at their own risk andare advised to wear suitable footwear. The organisers shall not incur any liability, except as required bylaw, in respect of any injury or damage suffered by any spectators howsoever caused.
