The Prelude Ballet Ensemble is a not-for-profi t corporation with the mission of providing student dancers performing experience. The Ensemble explores a wide range of ballet styles: classical, character and contemporary, presenting an opportunity to explore the diversity of ballet.

Students from all dance schools are encouraged to participate with the

Ensemble while continuing to study and perform at their respective dance schools.

The dancers will participate in master classes, learn a variety of ballet, perform in

many venues and make new friends.

The Dance Company team is composed of approximately one hundred of the most talented and dedicated dancers from Seven Star School of Performing Arts. Dance routines accentuate technique and style in many disciplines, such as tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, and contemporary. These dancers competed in four regional competitions this past season and performed remarkably well.

This year, our Dance Company earned the 2009 American League Studio Champion award at Hall of Fame Dance Challenge at Worcester, MA (right).

Summer ProgramsBroadway Bound Camps (Ages 3 - 12)

Does your child dance and sing all around the house? Have you noticed a lair for the dramatic? This may be just the right camp for that talent and energy! Geared for the child interested in all facets of the performing arts, campers will experience a week of dancing, acting, and singing classes (as a real Broadway star would). Each camp culminates with a musical review for the parents at the end of the week. Campers should dress comfortably and bring a bag lunch and beach towel to eat on. Register for one, two, three, or even four weeks, so your child can experience four different shows! All camps meet from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Princess, Ballerina, Diva Dance Camps (Ages 3 - 5)

Has your little girl ever dreamed of being a princess, ballerina, or diva? Have her experience the dream in one of our camps designed for preschoolers. Princess campers will dance, sing, and act like a different Disney princess each day. Ballerina campers will be twirling and swirling around the room. The divas will dance and sing to “funkier” children’s music. Each day will include an arts and craft project. All campers will need to bring a snack and something to drink each day. Clothing attire: leotard and ballet slippers, princess dress, or “diva” clothes.

Hip Hop Camp (Ages 7+)

Does your child and his/her friends dance around the house to the latest popular radio tunes? Encourage him/her to join this age appropriate dance camp to get some healthy exercise while he/she learns the newest dance form: hip hop. During this week of classes, campers will learn the latest moves to the new grooves and are guaranteed to gain the con idence they need to step out on the loor at their school dances and have an absolute blast!

Cheerleading & Acrobatics Camp (Ages 7+)

Learn the newest cheers along with the newest moves! Also, learn how to enhance your cheers with some acrobatics tricks!


Musical Theatre Camp (Ages 12+)

Designed for the young teenager who loves to sing, dance, and act, campers will learn from real Broadway performers! Please note, this class requires a minimum of ten students.


Internship Program (Ages 13+)

We are going to train our pool of assistants and teachers. Programs will vary each day to learn the different facets of the dance school. Each child will leave with a folder of lesson plans and music for each level of dance as well as an understanding of how the front desk operates. Interns will be trained on answering the phone, taking messages, and dealing with the public. This training can be applied to other of ice situations, too. When we need teachers, assistants, substitutes, and front desk assistants, we will call the interns from our trained list. Permanent positions may be offered as well. Returning interns only need to attend the inal day of training to maintain their status.
