✹ 9:30 a.m. “Renewable Energy Basics- How does it work?” provided by Midwest Wind and Solar. Learn the basics of renewable energy and if it’s right for you. Presentation will cover solar electric, solar thermal, and wind.

✹ 10:30 a.m. Learn about Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and the role it plays in protecting the environment. Families and children will learn about the park’s Fire Management program, and how fire is used as a tool to help protect, preserve and restore the Indiana Dunes. Kids will get started on earning their Ju-nior Firefighter badge and learn about being a firefighter in the National Parks. A special visit from Smokey Bear is also expected.

✹ 11:30 a.m. Silly Safaris live animal show returns for an experience everyone will remember! Learn more about reptiles, mammals, birds and bugs during this exciting educational and fun perfor-mance. You might be called up to go on stage with the critters!

✹ 12:30 p.m. Recycle Cycle - Join in the hysterical antics of a garbage man and his crazy contraptions. This family-friendly show has plenty of opportunities for audience involve-ment. Don’t be shy!

✹ 1:30 p.m. Reduce-Reuse-Recycle! Lake County Solid Waste Management District’s award-winning Green Team will return for a second year! Catch a snipit of the original 3Rs-themed assembly-style show they perform in Lake County schools! You just might catch a prize, and you’re sure to catch yourself and your family having fun being GREEN!

Shred, will be on site to provide document destruction and

recycling free of charge.

• Each attendee is asked to limit their material to be shredded to
