VVA STUDENTS VISIT KSHITIJ EXHIBITION AT DON BOSCO COLLEGE The students of Class XI of Vidya Vikas Academy attended the Kshitij Exhibition held at Don Bosco College of Engineering. The theme of the exhibition was “Eco Friendly Projects”. The students from various schools and colleges had put up incredible projects in various engineering and scientific fields like mechanical, civil, electronics and computers.

The Exhibition had certain projects which were fascinating and informative. One of them was an “Indoor Positioning System”. What was so innovative about this idea was that we all have GPS systems and Google maps to help us to navigate around. A group of college students had prepared an “Obstacle Avoidance Robot” using various mechanical, technical and computer engineering.

Some other projects included a “water treatment plant” and a “sewage treatment plant” for Goa, complete with the geography and location of the whereabouts of this plant. There were many other projects like a “Voice Automated Fire Extinguisher Engine” which could put out fires using coded language, given by the operator and an “Automatic Rain Sensor for Windows” to help put up windows when it begins to rain without doing it manually. The best part about these projects was to see how knowledge gained through studies was put to practical use thereby producing something helpful for the society.

Tr. Meenal, Tr Joyce, Yashvi and Sarvesh coordinated the program.
