SAP Note 1465356 - Adapter Engine uses wrong URL toIntegration Server

Summary

Symptom

Sometimes the adapter engine is not using the correct URL to communicate

with the integration engine. Typically the wrong URL contains the short

host name while the correct one specifies the fully qualified host name.

This situation may occur right after restart of the J2EE engine when the

SLD was temporarily unavailable. After a couple of minutes, the wrong URL

is automatically corrected.

Reason and Prerequisites

This situation may occur under the following conditions:

(1) The URL to the integration server in SLD is using the fully qualified

host name.

(2) In Exchange Profile the property

com.sap.aii.connect.integrationserver.r3.mshost is empty, i.e. the message

server host of the integration server is not specified in the Exchange

Profile.

(3) The SLD was temporarily unavailable during start up of the J2EE engine.

Solution

Code correction.

Please update the software components of the Adapter Engine to the patch

levels maintained in section "SP Patch Level" of this note or use newer

versions.
