What’s included Business benefits
Leveraging the SAP MII development infrastructure and
prebuilt, standards-compliant integration to SAP ERP and
shop floor systems, the batch manufacturing with SAP MII
templates integrate and synchronize manufacturing enterprise,
operations, and device data. In this way, plants and the
enterprise benefit from accurate, real-time visibility into
manufacturing activities and performance to increase plant
operational efficiency and reduce costs.
An example is the manufacturing of chemical materials, which
mainly covers two sections:
1. Manufacturing of bulk products without process
management
2. Manufacturing of bulk products with process management
The integrated business scenario starts in SAP ERP by
creating transactional data (for example, process orders and
inspection lots) and continues in SAP MII.
The first scenario using process orders provides role-specific
applications to support efficient manufacturing preparation,
execution, documentation, and reporting within three
predefined roles and manufacturing operations cockpits:
production supervisor, shift supervisor, and shop floor
operator.
Full integration of SAP ERP and SAP MII
Synchronized global manufacturing and local
operations processes
Automated work processes
Role-specific, simplified, user-friendly applications
