Maintenance Plan Call Information in Order List, and Order and Operation ListRequest ID: 10495, SAP note 2417613

• With this product feature, you can list the maintenance plan call number, call status, completion date, call date, and planned date of maintenance plan scheduled calls in the Change Orders and Operations (transaction IW37N) and Change PM Orders (transaction IW38) applications.

• This feature enables maintenance planners to easily compare the dates of the order and the dates of the relevant maintenance call, to prove that all obligatory maintenance activities have been started before or on the date specified in the maintenance plan. If an accident happens, this can prove that the company has done every precaution, and therefore legally is not at fault.

• Additional Details

• To add the new columns to the List of Orders page of the two applications, choose the Change Layout button, then choose the Maintenance Call column group, then add the columns you need to the Displayed Columns

One of the most important reports for maintenance orders is IW38, which most of maintenance planners would use during it’s daily work. While IW38 is a great report, it was missing the possibility to perform effectively for the availability of the materials needed for the maintenance work.SAP has recently released a set of notes that enable in the Change PM Orders (IW38) report the checking of the Material Availability for a set of selected maintenance orders.

The result of the Material Availability check is shown via a log screen with detailed information on each individual Order

Display PM Activity Type in Notification

• This product feature enables you to set the PM Activity Type parameter for maintenance plans and notifications. Previously this parameter was only available for orders. With this new feature, if you set the PM Activity Type for a maintenance plan, and then that plan generates a notification, the new notification inherits the set PM Activity Type. If you create a new order for a notification with a set PM Activity Type, the new order inherits this attribute.

Collective Entry of Measurement Documents for Order Confirmation

With this feature, you can enter measurement readings collectively during order confirmation If measuring points are assigned to technical objects of a maintenance order or an operation. You can do this in the Individual Time Confirmation application (transaction IW41) by clicking the Measurement Documents from Object List option.


Copying Maintenance Plan from ReferenceMaintenance Plan

You can create a maintenance plan by copying a reference maintenance plan. You can do this in the Create Maintenance Planapplications (transactions IP01, IP41, IP42, and IP43) by entering the maintenance plan number in the Reference maintenance plan section.By default, you must allow a maintenance plan to be a copy template if you wish to copy it. You can do this while editing (in the Create Maintenance Plan and the Change Maintenance Plan applications (transaction IP02)) with the Allow option under Maintenance plan Functions Copy Template.You can also make default settings for the copy options of the maintenance plans in theUser Default Values application (transaction EAM_USER) under the Maintenance Plan tab.


Display Maintenance Plan Cycle Information

You can see additional data about maintenance plan cycles in the Display Maintenance Item application (transaction IP18) and the Change Maintenance Item application (transaction IP17) if you select the Maintenance Plan grouping of columns in the Current layout.
