Campaign Management enhancements
Function:
With the ByDesign 1602 release, the following functional enhancements in Campaign
Management will be provided.
• Automatic Lead Generation on response upload for Campaign
• Allow addition of Lead as a member in Target Group
• Addition of Active Campaign View to Target Group
• Allow addition of attachments in an active campaign
Business Value:
Plug important functional gaps within the marketing campaigns area with functionality most
demanded by customers and partners.
The enhancements will provide customers more flexibility in defining target group and will also
help to monitor campaigns being run on various target groups.

Enhancements to Service Quotes
Function:
It is now possible to enter spare parts while creating service quotes. Also the Output
History is now available.
Business Value:
The customer can now request for a service quote for a specific spare part. The
service is delivered based on the availability of the spare part and the pick-up
indicator set for the material.

Non-billable items for service orders
Function:
It is now possible to create service orders containing items that can be marked as
non-billable, thus excluding the items from invoices.
Business Value:
During creation of the service orders, there could be items that do not need to be
billed; Eg: internal maintenance orders.
With this feature, it would be possible to complete the service order items that are
not billable by completing the delivery process.

Interactive Form for Contracts
Function:
With ByD1602, interactive forms for contracts is available.
Business Value:
The sales employee and customer can now exchange contract information based
on the templates defined in the system. The updated information is sent via mails.
It is possible to update the existing contract in the system based on the interactive
form.

Extension Scenario in Over-the-counter sales
Function:
A new set of custom fields can be added in an Account which can be extended to
Over-the-counter sales document.
Business Value:
During creation of the Over-the-counter sales document, the user might need to add
additional information with respect to the account. By adding custom fields, in the
accounts the customer can achieve this.

Cost and profit margin in Over-the-Counter sales
Function:
It is now possible to calculate the cost and profit margin for Over-the-Counter(OTC)
sales document.
Business Value:
This allows the customer to decide if the sales employee should be allowed to view
the profit margin during the Over-the-counter sales. This feature enables the sales
person to make informed decisions on how much discount can be offered for a
material being sold over the counter.

Data Segregation in Customer Demand and Stock Transfer
Proposal
Function:
It will now be possible to support the access restriction for customer demand and
stock transfer proposal based on the access assigned to the user.
Business Value:
Currently customer demand does not support access restriction even if it is
assigned to a user. Because of this a user from one company can see the demands
of other company or sites for which he should not have access to.
This functionality will enable the customers to control the access to customer
demand and stock transfer proposal.

Automatic warranty assignment
Function:
It will now be possible to automatically assign warranty for registered products in
outbound delivery process.
Business Value:
The registered products can be created automatically in outbound delivery process,
but warranty assignment was not supported.
With this release, when the outbound delivery is released, the warranty details are
automatically assigned for each registered product based on the product master
data.
This functionality will reduce the manual effort for the customers.

Form template selection and output channel selection
enhancement for created Purchase Order
Function:
Customer can now define defaulting criterion for form template selection and output
channel selection for created PO with additional attributes of Company, Supplier
and Purchasing unit.
Business Value:
This will enable customer to define their form template selection and output channel
selection with more flexibility.
This will reduce the manual effort to change the settings manually in Edit Output
settings during creation of each purchase order.

Individual Material Items handling in Purchasing
Function:
New checks have been implemented for valid Individual material at PO and GSA
level. There are also restrictions on number of Individual Material Items that can be
added in a single Purchase Order/Goods and Service Acknowledgment.
Business Value:
Earlier, some of the checks for valid Individual Material was not done during release
of PO/GSA, but at a later point during the lifecycle of the document, it resulted in the
documents getting stuck in accounting.
At times customer had to cancel these documents and recreate with different data
set. With the new checks in place during creation of the document, it is possible to
avoid such issues at a later point in time.
Further, there are restrictions on the number of Individual Material Items in single
document(PO/GSA) to avoid performance issues during posting of the purchasing
documents in accounting.

Interactive form enhancements for Purchase Orders
Function:
It is now possible to add custom fields in Purchase Order interactive forms and to
edit prices in interactive forms.
Business Value:
With this new enhancement, supplier can send PO acknowledgments with actual
prices via Interactive forms.
Support of custom fields for purchase order document would be helpful for
customers to send information based on the extensions defined to the suppliers.

A2X for creation of shopping carts
Function:
New A2X service for creation and query of Shopping carts.
Business Value:
This will enable customer to Create and Query Shopping Carts from Third Party
tools .

Service Control Center: Upgrade Dates
Function:
The maintenance schedule calendar within the Service Control Center now shows
the upgrade dates for the systems about four weeks in advance.
Till now this information was only available shortly before the upgrade took place.
Business Value:
Customers have a much better and earlier overview about their upgrade schedule
and hence can plan their activities accordingly.

SAP Project Cockpit, SAP Project to Go, SAP Manager
Approvals: Enhanced App Login
Function:
All available IOS apps as well as Android apps now offer the possibility to login via
central Identity Provider (IDP). In addition the IOS apps are enabled for certificate
based login.
Business Value:
Customers with company-wide SSO rules, whose users typically do not know their
SAP Business ByDesign user password combination, can use the apps.

SAP Project Cockpit, SAP Project to Go: Functional
Enhancements
Function:
Several enhancements within the mobile project Add-On apps are available with this
release.
Additional task details like the detailed task description, attached files and links are
accessible via the apps now.
All details of the team mood is now visible within the SAP Project Cockpit. All ratings
and the comments, along with the summary statistics are shown in an anonymous
way.
Round-Offs with regards to time entry are available: e.g. within the time entry list you
can see the total time of all your time confirmations for each day.
Business Value:
Project leads and project team members get additional insights and can use the
apps more efficiently.

SAP Project Cockpit: Browser Usage
Function:
SAP Project Cockpit is now available as a browser version additional to the
iPad app that is already available. Project leads can launch SAP Project
Cockpit from the Project Management Work Center via the common task
‘Start Project Cockpit’.
Business Value:
All project leads, especially the ones without and iPad and the ones that are
working mainly at their desktop can take advantage of the benefits offered
with SAP Project Cockpit.

OData Modeler
Function:
Using the SAP Business ByDesign OData Modeler it is now possible for partners to
create their own OData services based on the business objects public solution
model (analog to the functionality already available for SAP Cloud for Customer).
This feature is currently only available for beta usage and will be restricted to a
limited number of customers / partners in release 1602.
Business Value:
Partner developers can easily integrate with SAP Business ByDesign using the
OData protocol and leverage the potential of this open protocol which allows the
creation and consumption of queryable and interoperable RESTful APIs in
a simple and standard way.

Solution Manager Integration
Function:
SAP Business ByDesign is now prepared for an integration to the SAP Solution
Manager.
Once the SAP Solution Manager has completed its implementation the message
based external business communication can be monitored (cross tenant) via SAP
Solution Manager (in addition to single tenant monitoring via the Business
Communication Monitor).
Business Value:
Customers who already monitor their system landscape with SAP Solution Manager
can easily get an overview of the message based external business communication
of all their SAP Business ByDesign tenants.

Further Round-off for Israel (Hilti) based on acceptance tests. Most of the
changes have been downported to 1511 also.

Function:
The credit memos are now included in summary invoice status update
Support for Nayose and corresponding consideration of Business Partner name in
bank statement processing is now supported.
Business Value:
These features are critical parts of the topic Summary Invoices. Any customer using
this process would need the functions provided.
