Objective: To drill in 9-5/8” surface casing on four (4) oil wells from surface to depth’s ranging from 1300’ to 1800’ for the following reasons:

! Reduce drilling cost ! Improve drilling efficiency ! Improve drilling performance ! Removing stuck pipe risks ! Minimize fluid losses ! Maximize the rig and rig crew capabilities for “off-site” works completed where normal

drilling operation would not allow ! Reduce flat spots in the drilling curve ! Create improvements for clients future drilling programs

Designing: Reservoir Drilling Solutions (RDS) and Drill Quip Pty Ltd designed the Casing Drilling program. The design was manufactured around client’s formation data and equipment availability. The casing, casing drilling bit and floats were supplied from clients inventory. Our program focused on “Torque and Drag” along with “Wear and Fatigue” of the casing and using the ideal placements of HydroForm™ Centralizers to minimize any side loading torsional wear. Comments:

• Standard losses occurred during the sand intervals and controlled by reducing ROP and pumping LCM pills.

• Clays that created bit balling were controlled with KCL. Bit balling was not observed. Cuttings observed were clean rolling curls suggesting correct circulating regime that minimized annular turbulence.

• Casing bit was made up on the floor to reduce the chances of damage. It was felt that if the bit was installed off line using DQ’s MU/BO Vice it could be damaged transporting up to the rig floor. • Floats were made up off line using DQ’s MU/BO vice. • MLT’s were installed off line using DQ’s Volant MLT Installation tool. • Centralizers were installed while casing was on the racks • No reaming on any connections • At TD the hole inclination on all wells were below 0.5°. The equivalent inclination when

drilling conventionally was between 1.0° - 2.0° • During well #3 we experienced 2 x blocked jets. This well was the first well with jet

nozzles 4 x 11’s. Managed to clear one jet and drilled ahead with 580 GPM with 1850 psi, which calculated a 500psi SPP increase to TD. No other wells experienced blockages.

• After inspecting the Volant dies at completion of 4 wells zero wear was observed. • Total Footage Drilled over 4 wells = 5,883’ • Total Drilling hours over 4 wells = 69 hrs. • Average ROP over 4 wells = 85’ p/hr.

Observations:

• Less Ton Miles due to reduced tripping • The well commenced drilling ahead of time without the need to prepare any drill-pipe, • Less pump required due to less hydraulic HP required minimizing fuel usage, • Minimized washouts lowering the cementing costs, • Offline productivity increased due to less personnel required for CwD operation, • Smaller mud system required at the start of each well, • NPT reduced due to no drill pipe tripping, • Zero stuck pipe issues due to no drill pipe tripping • Successful drilling out the shoe track with 5 a blade PDC with bit grading as 2-2 good

order • The Volant mechanical set CRT reduced rig up time due to small compact size and only one
