Payment is due at the time of registration. You may pay by credit card for your convenience. Your child is not considered registered until full payment has been received. Students are registered on a first-come, first-serve basis and many courses fill up quickly.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTS Your child must have one or more forms on file on the first day of class in order to participate. These forms are available on the registration site.*
ABSENCES/MAKE-UP DAYS
There will be no make-up days, credits or refunds for absences. If a child cannot attend/return to camp due to illness or accident, a doctor’s note must accompany the withdrawal request. Refunds due to illness will be pro-rated.
ATTIRE All students are expected to dress in a manner that honors God, provides for adequate safety on campus, and is respectful and modest in nature. Please refer to the Santa Fe Christian Schools Extended Studies Summer Program Dress Code Expectations online.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Tuition fees will be refunded if a written cancellation request is received according to the refund schedule detailed below. There is a $25 processing fee for all refunds. Santa Fe Christian Schools reserves the right to cancel any camp due to insufficient enrollment. A full refund is provided if the class is canceled. Note: Classes for academic credit are guaranteed to run.
SFC Summer Extended Studies refund amounts:
29+ days prior to class start date: 100% minus $25 processing fee
15–28 days prior to class start date: 50% minus $25 processing fee
No refund available 0–14 days prior to class start date.
HYBRID SYNCHRONOUS REMOTE LEARNING (HSRL) SCHEDULEThis is a six-week, five days a week class that will count as a year-long camp for credit. This synchronous learning class includes video conferences and student work time interspersed Monday through Friday. In addition to the workload expected during the class, students can expect up to one additional hour of independent work per day to prepare for the next day.
During each hour of student work time, teacher will be available for assistance.
Students may work individually, in groups via video conferencing, or get assistance from the teacher.

Online College Prep Modern World History + For Credit
This is an ONLINE version of Modern World History requires students to complete work and stay up-to-date on assignments without as much oversight from the camp instructor. All the tests, quizzes, and assignments will be on the class page there is no need to come onto campus. Students will submit essays through their SFC email account.
Students will study major eras and turning points in modern world history, from the 14th century through the present, including the cause and camp of the two world wars in the 20th century. Students will trace the rise of democratic ideas and understand the historical roots of current world problems and issues. The objective of this camp is to help students gain a foundational knowledge of modern world history. The camp will help students acquire an understanding of, and an appreciation for other cultures both past and present. Students will develop and practice skills of critical thinking, speaking/presenting, writing, discussing, note-taking, debating, and processing information from a variety of media. HSRL US History + For Credit
This camp is designed to give students an understanding of American History, focusing especially on 1877 to present. The camp is about more than just learning the facts of history; students will develop the skills of critical thinking, communication, creative problem solving, and collaboration, and learn to make historical arguments using evidence. Students will be expected to take quizzes daily, as well as a final exam at week 3 and week 6. This camp will fulfil the US History credit for SFC.
This is an academic class for credit; therefore students may not be absent for more than 8–hours of class time.

This is a two–semester camp in the study of Euclidean Geometry. The following topics will be covered: the language and logic of geometry, parallelism, congruent triangles, triangle inequalities, quadrilaterals, similarity, right triangles, circles, geometric constructions, area of plane figures, solid geometry, coordinate geometry, and transformational geometry.

HSRL Biology+ For Credit
Planning to take study skills this fall and want space for a visual or performing arts class? Transferring to SFC and need to take biology? Looking to take a high school level biology camp to meet graduation requirements? This class is for you! This camp is designed for transfer students and incoming freshmen enrolled in Study Skills for the 2020–2021 school year. Students engage in learning through hands–on activities, labs, and group work. Weeks 1–3 cover first semester topics: Nature of Science, Cell Physiology, and Protein Synthesis. Weeks 4–6 cover second semester topics: Genetics, Origins, and Ecology.
This is an academic class for credit; therefore students may not be absent for more than 8–hours of class time.
No textbook is required for this course, as readings are online. Students must have a charged device every day.

Character analysis, plot, and theme will all be explored. Students can expect to be prepared for their first writing assignment of the school year. Savvy should be read prior to this class.

Through discussion and activities aimed to improve reading speed, vocabulary, and study skills, students will gain a better understanding of Stand Tall by Joan Bauer while also preparing for their first writing assignment of the school year. Students will read and complete all activities related to Joan Bauer’s Stand Tall in class –– NO PREPARATION & NO HOMEWORK.

Geometry of the SAT, SAT Math Level 2 and the AMCPart I: The purpose of this class is to help reinforce and build on the concepts students learned in geometry and to help students with the SAT and SAT Level 2 Math exams. Geometry is frequently on the American Mathematics Competition (AMC), the largest mathematics competition in the world. Top universities are requesting a student’s AMC score for STEM majors–as such there will be a strong focus on problem solving.
Part II: Topics covered are more advanced and should be taken after Part I (unless the student has taken SFC Advanced Math class).
Prerequisite: Students need to have completed a geometry math class with an 85% or above.
*The textbook is included in class price for students who register prior to July 15, after July 15 students are responsible for purchasing the books in addition to the cost of the course.

Spanish BootcampSeñor Perez’s “Spanish Bootcamp” will be an exciting week-long program designed to refresh your student’s abilities in preparation for Spanish 2! This action-packed week will be centered around SPEAKING the language, which will include plenty of role-play/skit performances, conversations, music, videos, and even a class field trip to an authentic Mexican restaurant… ALL in español. This camp is designed to prepare students for speaking in Spanish, a requirement and an expectation at the Spanish 2 level. Without the stress of tests, quizzes, or homework, this class will be all about finding joy and community in Spanish. Señor Perez is eager to help students speak Spanish, and believes that this week of practice and review of the Spanish 1 curriculum will be the perfect way to set SFC Spanish students up for success.

Upper School Eagle Theater CampThis camp provides students with an opportunity to learn fundamentals of performance and to work in a fun learning environment. All campers will participate in a production that requires them to learn about character development, line delivery, and script analysis. Students will also get a fundamental understanding of the importance of working in a collaborative setting, one in which they are all valued members of a team.
