Sanjay Shah is the founder and CEO of Vistex, Inc., a Chicagoland-based technology company that has been quietly changing the face of the software industry. Shah independently founded Vistex in 1999 to meet a marketplace need for data-driven sales and marketing programs to drive consumer behavior, control costs and enhance corporate profitability.

Vistex’s proprietary Go-to-Market of solutions offers distinct processes that manage pricing, incentive, rebate, royalty and channel programs, among other tactics for some of the world’s most recognized companies including Apple, Walmart, General Motors, Kraft Foods, General Electric, Kellogg’s, Nestle, Coca-Cola, 3M, Grainger, Bridgestone, Microsoft, Intel, DIRECTV and Paramount Pictures, among many other blue-chip names Shah’s story is a classic American entrepreneurial tale of a man seeing a marketplace opportunity and relentlessly pursuing his vision to fill that need. Sanjay Shah was born in Mumbai, India, in 1968. He was educated at Hindi Vidya Bhavan School in south Bombay and received a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Bombay University in 1988. Shah came to the United States in 1988 and earned his Post Graduate degree (MBA) in Finance from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania in 1989. Shah also completed Harvard Business School’s Owner/President Management program in 2010. Shah began his career working for Price Waterhouse as an Audit Analyst and then took a position as a Logistics Manager at General Motors. Shah joined software giant SAP in 1993 and worked there for six years, including two years in Germany focusing on research and development. He then left to create his own company, Vistex, which he officially launched in February 1999 and has been quietly growing for the last 15 years. Shah is also a committed philanthropist. His Vistex Foundation focuses on global needs in the areas of health, education, food, shelter and disaster aid. Endeavor is the Vistex employee and Chicago-based charity that builds bonds with the local community through volunteer opportunities, gift matching and grant making. Shah has been married to Hemali Shah since January 1993 and has two daughters. He resides in Barrington, Ill., a suburb of Chicago.
