3. Working principle

System diagram:

High temp.

System Principle:

Refrigerant is compressed into vapor with high temperature and high pressure when it goes

through the compressor.

On the discharge side of the compressor, the now hot and highly pressurized vapor is cooled

down through the heat exchange with the water in the tank until it condenses into a high

pressure, moderate temperature liquid.

Then the pressure of the liqiud refrigerant drops as it passes expansion valve.

Finally, refrigerant absorbs heat from the surrounding air and evaporates into vapor with low

temperature and low pressure and then it goes into compressor again.

The cooled surrounding air could be blew to the rooms which needs fresh cooled air.

5> Functions explanation

1.Machine function description

Because the supplied hot water absorbs heat from the surrounding air and release the heat at heat

exchanger side. Once ambient temperature goes down, the heating capacity may

decrease accordingly.

When stopping after running, the user immediately starts the unit or turns on manual switch, the unit

will not run within 3 minutes. This phenomenon is to protect compressor by the main controller.

In heating mode, if the unit freezes, the machine will automatically defrost to promote heating

capacity.(2 to 10 minutes). Under defrosting process, the fan motor of the unit will run and

compressor will stop working.

The unit only can use tap water .Please do not use the water from any lake, river or underground

water which are not filtrated or treated.

If power is cut during machine running, the unit will stop immediately. If the unit is mis-works

because of thunder, wireless of motor car, power net fluctuation, please turn off the power switch by

hand. After the unit restarts, the user can re-press the running/stop button.

The unit must be connected with power net through current leakage protector.

When water temperature reaches 75℃, the electric heater will be off(automatic recovery). When water temperature reaches 85℃, the fuse of electric heater will fuse (un-recovery)

In the water system will be installed the Pressure release valve. When the tank pressure reach

0.7MPa, the Pressure release valve to open sluice.

2. Choosing a proper model

For energy-saving and convenience purpose, please choose proper volume of a water tank, the

selection case is below:

80-100L is proper for 1 - 3 users.

3. Storage and transportation

Generally, it's better to use a container to transport hot water heat pumps and store them in a

suitable and dry place. To short distance carrying, please be careful and the maximum

inclination is no more than 60°.During transportation and storage, the ambient temp is better from

0°C -43°C.

Transported by forklift

When using forklift to carry the unit which must have a pallet, the operator should try best to

keep the height of forklift at a lowest level. Because the top part is heavier ,the operator needs

to take measures to prevent its overturn. To avoid any damages, the unit must stand on a flat

place.

Transport for installation

When transporting for installation, the bottom of unit needs to be added with pallet and use

a rope or belt to fix it well. By this manual carrying or forklift transportation, the inclination is no

more than 60°as the following picture shows. If the inclination unavoidably exceeds 60°,the unit must be kept at vertical status for at least 1 hour and then can be started for testing or

running.

Notice: The selection of a water tank is only a reference, please choose a

proper. one according to local weather and users consuming habit.

8.Maintenance & Repair

1. Maintenance.

Check the parts of the unit and the pressure of the system regularly (1 year). If there is any

unusual phenomena, repair and replace it immediately.

Check if the electrical wiring is firm and the electrical element has any unusual action and smell.

If so, repair and replace it immediately.

Do not power off the unit if the unit is not used for a long time. We will not be responsible for any

broken caused by the frost crack of parts due to the long time power off.

Check if the power socket and plug have a good contacting, perfect earth and any thermal

protection.

In the cold area (below 0 ℃), if you do not use the unit for a long time, please drain the water of the tank to avoid the damage due to freeze. In order to ensure the long efficient work of the

unit, please clean away the precipitate in the tank every half year. Please do it as follow: 1.Turn

off the power supply.

2. Turn off the water in valve and turn on the hot water tap. Turn off the hot water tap after

draining the sewage from the hot water tap.

3. Take apart the tap water pipe from the safety relief valve, put the drainpipe into the

draining hole out let of room.

4. Turn on the hot water tap drain off all the water in the tank. Use water clean several times if

need.

5. Connect the tap water pipe to the unit again and inject the water into the tank. Turn on the

power supply. If the hot water is enough to use, you can decrease the set point to reduce the

heat dissipation, which can save more energy and extend the life of the unit.

2. Use for overheating protector

Overheating protector is used to prevent safety accident caused by water temperature inside the

tank too high in case that the heat pump controller is out of control. When the temperature inside the

tank reaches the action value of the protector, the power supply will be cut off. It has to be reset

manually so that the unit returns to normal. The operation in detail is as following:

Be careful electric shock when you press red button.

Warning

loosen the screws and open the cover Press the red button to reset

3. The non-fault phenomena

1 Why the compressor is not running when I start the unit?

Answer When the unit is on after stopping, the unit will not run until 3 minutes later. It is the

self-protection of unit. When the ambient temperature is lower than 2°C, the compressor will stop and

the electric heater will be on.

2 Why the unit does not stop when the water outlet temperature on the display reaches the

set point

Answer Because there are two sensors, upper sensor and bottom sensor, in the unit. The water

outlet temperature on the display is only from the upper sensor. The bottom water

temperature in the tank will decrease when you use some water, although the upper water in the

tank has the set point temperature. The unit will not produce heat until the bottom sensor senses

the set point.

3 Why the water outlet temperature on the display creases slowly?

Answer Because the water temperature is different between the upper layer and under layer

in the tank at the beginning. When whole the water in the tank have the same temperature, it

will rise faster.

4 Why the water outlet temperature on the display decreases when the unit is heating

Answer If the upper water temperature is much higher than that of the bottom water, then the water

temperature will decrease a little because of the convection between hot water and cold water in the

tank.

5 Why the unit does not start up to heat when the water outlet temperature decreases

Answer: The water temperature will decrease because of the heat loss if the hot water in the tank is

not used for a long time. In order to avoid the continual ON/OFF, the unit does not start up until the

water temperature decrease more than 5°C.

6 Why the water temperature decrease a lot abruptly?

Answer: The temperatures of hot water and cold water in the tank are different. The cold water may

go to the upper sensor when the hot water have been used up.

7 Why the hot water is still available when the water out temperature on the display

decreases

a lot

Answer: Because the upper sensor is positioned near the top of the tank, there is still 1/5 of hot

water available when the water outlet temperature on the display decreases a lot.

8 Why the compressor stops but the fan keeps running when the unit is in the heating mode?

Answer: The unit needs to defrost when the evaporator freezes because of the low ambient

temperature. The compressor will stop and the fan keeps running when the unit defrosts.

9 Why the heating time is so long, more than 10 hours?

Answer: Energy saving, small power and long heating time are the distinguishing features of the

units. Normally, the heating time is 4~15 hours due to the water inlet temperature, water

consumption and ambient temperature.
