Storm Sewer SystemThemunicipalstormsewersystemcollectsrainwater,sumppumpwaterandsurfacewaterrunofffromtheroadsandparkinglots.Waterischannelledfromstormgratesanddischargedintonearbystormwaterreservoirs,creeksanddirectlyintoKempenfeltBay.

Sanitary Sewer System•Themunicipalsanitarysewersystemisa systemofundergroundpipesthattransport sanitarysewagefromprivatelyowned buildingstotheWaterPollutionControl Centre(WPCC).

•SewageisseparatedattheWPCCintosolids andtheliquids,thentreated.

•ThetreatedliquiddischargesintoKempenfeltBay. Inordertomaintainaproperlyfunctioningsewer system,materialsinthelisttotheleft,shouldNOT bedisposedofintosinksandtoilets.
