Faith Formation: Faith Formation takes many forms at St Michael Church – from RCIA to Sacrament Preparation to Parish School of Religion and much more. For the month of Au-gust, please take time daily to pray for guidance as we prepare the programs for the next year using the following prayer (or one of your own choosing):

Dear Jesus, May we be faithful to the call to be your disciples, rooted in your Word, and open to the gifts of the Holy Spirit. May we use these gifts, especially the gifts of faith, hope, and love, to serve the St Michael Faith Community as a witness to you, who are love and life the source of love for all families. Let your Spirit enlighten our minds and strengthen our hearts so that we can be a path of Christ’s love to families, espe-cially as we prepare for the upcoming year of Faith Formation. Through the intercession of Mary and Joseph, we pray for the Church, the Bride of Christ, whose mission to build a civilization of love through the family. Amen.

The Good Samaritan Center is asking for donations of Crackers for the month of August.

Pope Francis recently called for a Synod on Young People, the Faith, and Vocational Discernment to take place in October 2018. In preparation there are five listening sessions scheduled throughout the Diocese for young people from 16-30 years of age. Please attend one of these if you are within this age group. If you want to travel as a group, please let the office know and schedule a meeting time to be announced in the bulle-tin. See posters in the Gathering Area. Sessions are scheduled as follows:

St. Michael is looking to start an adult, evening, bible study after the Tuesday evening Mass. The topics and format are to be determined, but could include: apologetics, a historical survey of the bible, a book study, or other topics as the group decides. MEN’S MEETING 7:00 on August 13th to finalize plans for the upcoming Ice Cream Social.

Mass Intentions are scheduled for all weekend Masses through the end of 2017. Also weekly Mass Intentions are already scheduled through mid-September. Please contact the office if you need to schedule a Mass Inten-tion before year end.

8-27-2017: The Ice Cream Social!!!!! Yummy!!! Tickets are on sale now ($5 per person or $20 Max per family, 6 and under free). Raffle tickets are $1 for one or 6 for $5. Sign up sheets for cakes and pies will be on the table in the Gathering Area beginning August 6th. We are also accepting items for the Auctions.

Choir practice will resume on Thurs-day, August 24th at 4 pm. Anyone interested in joining the choir please plan on attending the practice. Shar-ing your voice in music is like praying twice.
