The wisdom of Tantra and Yoga has always been passed on from generation to generation through the medium of Guru and Disciple relationship. It is as it is and it shall ever be the same. Visa:

An Indian Visa is necessary to enter into India. There are different kinds of Visas of which“TouristVisa”isinexpensive,easilygrantedanditdoesnotrequire intricacies of consulate rules. 1pmto1.30pm:fruit/fruitjuice(FruitbowlwithJuice/HerbalDrink/Tea)

6pmto7pm:Dinner(ricevarieties,chapatti; Indianbread,Dosaetc.),Lentils,VegetableDish,Salad,HerbalhotdrinksandOccasionalDeserts).

*These above food timings and food are general idea and are tentative. There can besubstantialchangesaccordingtotheneed.ForeveryRetreat/Coursethere isaseparatedailyprogrammeregardingfoodandclassesaswellwhich ismentioned intheparticularpagesfortheCourse/Retreat.

Weprovidefood/kindsoffoodandarrangethetimingsofthefoodfromtheYogacoursepointofview.AccordingtoYogicprincipletheremustbeatleast6to8hoursgap,between2meals.On an average heavy food like grains etc. takes 3 hours to digest and fruit takes 30 to 40minutes to digest. Wearrange the accommodation for all courses and retreats in thebest of our capacity. Theroomsaresufficientlybigger,mostlysharedandverynicetostayintofeelgood.

Food:

Sattvik(suitableforYoga)vegetarianNorthIndianfood.For Health Restoration Yoga Retreat which requiresadditionalcarewehavedifferentfoodarrangementthatisdecidedonthebasisoftherelevanthealthretreatwedoandincaseofparticularindividualsupontheirarrivalonly.

DrinkingWater:

Weprovidefilteredwaterfordrinkingpurpose.Bringawaterbottlewithyou.TheweatheratRisikesh in summer isnormallyhot soyouneed todrinkplentyofwater.Onanaverage,weneedtoconsume3to4litersofwatereveryday.Intheclassalso,youneedtobringyourfilledwaterbottle.

4.PreparationThingstobebrought

Photocopies: For all the Courses/Retreats please bring 5 copies each of your passportmainpage;which has the passport number and your photo and the page that has the India Visa.Leaveonesetathomewithyourfamilyorfriends.Keeponescannedcopyofthesameinyouremailtoprintwheneveryouneed.Photocopiesofthesedocumentsaremuchneededduringyourstayinaforeigncountrysoitisalwaysusefultokeepsufficientphotocopiesincaseofanyneedandemergency.

Photos: For all the Courses/Retreats at least two passport-size photos with smiling face toattach with the application and another for certificate. Please keep sufficient passport-sizephotosbecauseyouwillneedthesemuchduringyourstayinaforeigncountryincaseofanyneedandemergency.

Cloths:ForalltheCourses/Retreatsatleastthreepairsofloosefittingclothes for Yoga classes because you need to change the clothesoften. Cotton garments are ideal. You can also buytrousers/shorts/tops here from local shops. We recommend whitecloths tobemoreapplicableduringYourYogacourse forall classes.Butitisnotmandatory.Youcanhaveyourchoices.

Warm Clothes: For all the Courses/Retreats you can bring woolensweater/jacket and a few pairs of socks for winter season fromOctobertoJanuary.

Umbrella and Cap: You can bring a personal short umbrella or rainjacketbecauseweatherattimesisunpredictableandtherearefrequentrainsforsomehours.You should also need to have a big cap to protect you from scorching sunlight. The sunlightfollowedbyrainisverydifficult.

ForWomen:SanitarypadsareavailableinIndiabutsometimestheydon’tfittoyourneedssoitisalwaysbettertobringsufficientofthesewithyourself.TamponsarenotavailableinBharat(India).

YogaMat:Forall theCourses/RetreatsYogahallsalreadyhavesufficientYogamats.Youcanalsobuynewmats fromthe local shops.Butwerecommendstudents tohavetheirpersonalYogamats. From our personal experience, we can say that Yogamats are like our personalcloths.Itmustbeverypersonal.OtherthanthisanewYogamatinthebeginningisslipperyforatleast2to3weeksanditdoesnotbringsufficientgriptothelegsandhands.So,itisalwaysbettertohaveausedbutstrongpersonalYogamatforthepractice.

Electric andElectronic equipment: If you arebringing anyelectricor/andelectronicequipmentorchargers,youmayneedauniversalPlugadapterasyourplugsmaynotfitinIndia.

Somemoreimportantthingstobebrought:
