The Industry Interaction CellIIC serves as the single point of contact for industry related activities at

IIM Lucknow. The cell facilitates exchange of ideas amongst students,

faculty and the industry. In the process, it helps in sensitizing budding

managers to the realities of the corporate world through a seamless flow

of different events organized throughout the year.

IIM LucknowFrom its inception in 1984, IIM Lucknow has evolved to become one of the most

potent knowledge centers of India. With a mission to impart global and socially

conscious management training to its students, IIM Lucknow has consistentlyfocused on Industry teachings to supplement its rigorous academic curriculum.

IIM Lucknows continued drive on this front has consummated into numerous

Industry Academia interactions which have become an integral part of its

curriculum.

About SAMVITIIM Lucknow's Annual Leadership Summit

Samvit meaning the potency of knowledge was conceptualized as IIM Lucknows Annual

Leadership Summit to bring the best from the Industry to interact with the students. Samvit

represents the melting pot of unexplored ideas and a platform for discussing burning issues and

events in the country and beyond.

Previous editions of Samvit have hosted stalwarts such as Pramod Bhasin (Chairman of

NASSCOM & CEO of Genpact), Ajit Balakrishnan (Chairman Rediff.com), Kalpana Morparia

(Country Head JP Morgan), Meera Sanyal (Country Head RBS-ABN AMRO), Dr. Biswadip Mitra(MD Texas Instruments), Dr. Sandeep Pandey (2002 Magsaysay award winner), Naina Lal Kidwai

(India Head HSBC) and Padma Bhushan Dr. J J Irani.

Samvit 2011 will feature a potpourri of Workshops, Leaders Talk Series and an eponymous panel

discussion. With an objective to bridge the Industry-Academia divide, Samvit 2011 will seek to lay

a fecund platform, encouraging idea generations through seamless interactions between

Corporate India, Regulatory Bodies, Economists, Policy Makers, Faculty members and students.

Events@SAMVIT2011Samvit The Panel Discussion

Samvit2011 shall witness the congregation of some of Indias most brilliant and potent minds who

shall ideate on The Sinking World Economy and its Implications for Indian businesses. Designed to

elicit variegated insights on the contemporary thematic issue, the panel discussion promises to

produce a thought provoking discussion, churning out turnkey solutions which shall define the future

of Corporate India.

In Attendance : The panelist shall comprise the likes of Corporate Economists, RBI Policy makers,

Consultants, Bankers & Government Regulators. IIM Lucknow students, faculty members and

Lucknow corporates would fill out the audience.

Events@SAMVIT2011Medha VaacThe Leaders Talk Series

This constitutes a series of Leadership Talks that will be organized in a staggered mannerleading up to the Samvit panel discussion. Aimed at providing a sectorial overview through

the experiences of Industry Stalwarts, the LeadershipSeries facilitates close up interaction

between the inquisitive students and the bellwethers of the corporate world. The focus of

these session will be on Effective Leadership, Managing Teams, Success Factors et al catering

to the student community at large.

Events@SAMVIT2011Adhigantri Samvit Workshops

The focus will be to provide students with a ringside view of the happenings in the corporateworld and to give them hands-on training attuning them to the challenges awaiting in the

future. In the past IIC has hosted workshops from HUL, P&G and Diageo among others. The

workshops have been across the spectrum of management education right from Derivatives

Training to Brand Management.

In Attendance : Corporate Instructors, IIM Lucknow Students & Faculty Members

Format : A workshop comprises a Guest Lecture by a team of experts followed by a case

study analysis of the topic discussed.

The panel discussion on Financial Regulation & Development in India: Challenges & Prospects during Samvit 2010
