1. Seller Membership Registration

In order to access Seller Office for TV, you need a seller‟s account and password. Once become

a seller, you can register and modify product information for your applications here. An application

ID, which you‟d need to enter at Samsung Developer Forum when uploading your App File, will be

issued upon completion of the product information registration at Seller Office. In addition, you

may view download numbers and financial reports on your application sales. If you need further

information on how to develop applications and certification process, please visit Samsung

Developer Forum (http://www.samsungdforum.com/ ) for details.

* A serviceable country for private/corporate sellers is currently limited to the U.S only

1.1 Private Seller

① Click the [Join Now] button on the Seller Office login page to begin your registration process.

② If you are already a member of Samsung Apps TV Seller Office, please enter E-mail address

and password to log in to Seller Office. If not a Samsung Apps member yet, click the [Register

as Private Seller] button on the bottom of the page to move on to a private seller registration

page.

③ Input private seller‟s information.

• First, select the type of service. If you would like to register as a Mobile Private Seller or a

TV Private Seller, please click on the relevant checkbox. If you would like to register as

both Mobile and TV Private Seller, check all relevant checkboxes.

• Items with (*) mark are required information. Enter information for all items accurately.

• Entered E-mail address will be used as an ID. Please check the validity of the address.

④ Please read thoroughly „Samsung Account Terms and Conditions‟, „Seller Office Terms and

Conditions‟, and „Privacy Policy‟ sections, then if you agree with the terms we provide, please

check the „I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions‟ checkbox. In order to complete

the registration process, you must agree to all terms and conditions. Click the [Confirm] button

to complete the standard registration process, and then guide for the following process will be

sent to the registered E-mail address.

1.2 Private Seller (Comprehensive Members Login)

If you are already a registered member of Samsung service websites such as Samsung Apps,

SMI, bada Developers or Samsung Apps Mobile Seller Office, you may proceed with the

registration using the previously registered member ID.

* If you register with the same account for both TV and Mobile Seller Office, you would only

need to log-in once to access the menus for both services.

① Click the [Join Now] button on the Seller Office login page to begin registration process.

② Click on [Register as Private Seller] at the bottom of the page to move on to a private seller

registration page.

③ Input private seller‟s information. Entering the previously registered E-mail address will

generate a guide message below the E-mail input box. Click on the login button on the right

side and input your password for a quick verification

④ The information that you have entered when registering for Samsung service websites such

as Samsung Apps, SMI, bada Developers or Samsung Apps Mobile Seller Office will be

relayed and you are only required to enter additional information necessary to register as a

seller for the selected service.

and password to log in to Seller Office. If not a Samsung Apps member yet, click the [Register

as Corporate Seller] button on the bottom of the page to move on to a corporate seller

registration page.

③ Input corporate seller‟s information.

1.5 Partner Seller

If you are contracted offline with your Samsung account managers, you will receive an invitation

letter via e-mail containing one-time URL that will lead you to the website where you may register

your information to become a partner seller for Samsung Apps TV. After administrator‟s quick

confirmation, your registration process will be completed. For further questions, please contact

your Samsung account manager or us at [email protected] .

2. Commercial Seller Status Request

2.1 Private Seller

After seller registration is completed, you can register free applications on the website.

However, in order to service paid applications you need to obtain the „Commercial Seller Status‟.

① Click the [Request Commercial Seller Status] button from the registration completion page or

the „My Profile‟ page.

② Input additional information at the commercial seller status request page.

③ Upload a copy of the bankbook and your identification.

④ After entering all information, click the [Request] button. Once you press the button, you will

not be able to modify the financial information at the Seller Office. Please inquire at „My Q&A‟

under Seller Office‟s „Support‟ menu in case a change is necessary..

* A serviceable country for commercial private sellers is currently limited to the U.S only

2.2 Corporate Seller

After seller registration is completed, you can register free applications on the website.

However, in order to service paid applications you need to obtain the „Commercial Seller Status‟.

① Click the [Request Commercial Seller Status] button from the registration completion page or

the „My Profile‟ page.

② Enter your information. Korean corporate sellers are required to enter a company name in

Korean, Taxpayer Identification Number, Company Registration Number, Business Type, etc.

③ Upload a copy of the bankbook or bank statement and a copy of the Certificate for Business

Proprietor.

④ After entering all information, click the [Request] button. Once you press the button, you will

not be able to modify the financial information at the Seller Office. Please inquire at „My Q&A‟

under Seller Office‟s „Support‟ menu in case a change is necessary.

* A serviceable country for commercial corporate sellers is currently limited to the U.S only

2.3 Partner Seller

Once you have obtained a commercial contract offline, you will receive an invitation letter via

e-mail containing one-time URL that will lead you to the website where you may register your

financial information to become a commercial partner seller for Samsung Apps TV. After

administrator‟s quick confirmation, your registration process will be completed. For further

questions, please contact your Samsung account manager or us at [email protected] .

* Serviceable countries for commercial partner sellers are currently limited to Korea and the U.S.

3. My Profile

3.1 Seller Information

① You may check the seller information here.

② To change information, click the [Edit] button in the Seller Information page.

③ Enter the seller information you wish to change and then click the [Save] button to complete

the modification.

* For changing your financial information, please contact us at „My Q&A‟ under „Support‟ menu.

4. Buyer Support

4.1 Product Question

Search for buyers‟ questions associated with your applications and reply back here.

* Currently only buyers from Korea may submit questions at the website (tv.samsungapps.com/kr)

* Questions from buyers in countries other than Korea shall be delivered to you at the e-mail address for

customer support which you put in when registering product information for your applications.

To change information, click the [Edit] button

5. Application Registration Process

In order to distribute your application to Samsung Apps TV store, you need to register your

product information at Seller Office and upload an App File at Samsung Developer Forum. Once

registration process is completed, the application shall go through a certification process provided

by Samsung or its Affiliates before being launched onto the store. For details on the certification

process, please visit Samsung Developer Forum. (http://www.samsungdforum.com/)

5.1 Product Information Registration (at Seller Office)

5.1.1 Step 1: Basic Information

① From the main menu, click the [Registration Status] menu which drops down by clicking on

[Applications].

② Click the [Add New] button on the right side of the screen.

* You may also use the “Add New Application” button on the top right corner for direct access to the

product information registration menu.

* Please refer to the “Application Registration Guide” for more details.

• When you have filled in all fields, press “save” button to store your information.

• Application Name(Title) : Application Name must be less than 250 bytes. The name

already being used by somebody else may not be used. Click the [Check] button to check

if whether it is available.

• App Type: Please select it carefully. The App Type cannot be modified once being saved.

* Private/Corporate sellers may only select the type of Javascript Based or Flash Based.

- Javascript Based : Web-based applications consisting of HTML, CSS and Javascript.

- Flash Based : Applications containing flash files (.swf)

- Native : Applications running on Samsung Smart TV‟s native engines that would

require languages other than Javascript (i.e. C++)

* The development process for the native apps is different from others. Be sure to contact

Samsung Developer Forum (http://www.samsungdforum.com/) for details.

5.1.2 Step 2: Upload Image

Upload images for your application that will appear at the Samsung Apps TV store.

① Icon Images For TV: Upload images to be used as app icons at the Samsung Apps TV store.

The file size must be less than 500KB and only the PNG file type is permitted. Uploading an

inaccurate image will prohibit you from moving on to the next step.

② Icon & Screenshot images for Web: Upload images to be placed at the website.

The file size must be less than 500KB and only the JPG, GIF or PNG file types are permitted.

* Currently only Korea and the U.S. require screenshot images for the web.

* Private/Corporate sellers must upload screenshot images for the U.S.

③ High Resolution Image Files For Marketing Purpose: By registering files here, you grant

Samsung or its Affiliates rights to use the images solely for the purpose of marketing your

applications or the store itself. The file size must be less than 10MB.

④ Items with (*) mark are required information. Enter information for all items accurately. When

you have input all necessary fields, press „continue‟ button and move on to the next step.

When you press the „continue‟ button, your information will automatically be saved. Click the

[Back] button to go back to the previous step. Please make sure you have saved your data

before going back in order not to lose them.

5.1.3 Step 3: Additional Information

Input descriptions of your application to be displayed to buyers at the Samsung Apps TV store.

① Default Language: Select the standard language. Only one language can be selected.

* English is set as a default language for private/corporate sellers.

② Description (for TV): Input descriptions to be displayed at the Samsung Apps TV store on TV

Characters for descriptions cannot exceed 390 bytes

③ Description (for WEB): Input descriptions to be displayed at the Samsung Apps TV store on

the websites. Websites are currently available for Korea and the U.S. only.

Characters for descriptions cannot exceed 390 bytes

* Private/corporate sellers must fill in descriptions for the website in the U.S.

④ Tag: Enter only if your application is sold in Korea or the U.S. When registering multiple tags,

distinguish them by using commas (,).

⑤ Additional Languages: Besides the default language, you may add additional languages to

describe your applications at the Samsung Apps TV store on TV.

* In order for your descriptions to be properly displayed, the device in the selected countrie(s) must

support the language(s).

⑥ When you input your description in an additional language and click the [Save] button, „W‟

icon will appear on the right side of the selected language. By clicking on the „W‟ icon, the

registered contents can be seen in the applicable language.

① Select countries where you want to have your applications serviced. Selected countries are

subject to change during application certification process.

* Private/corporate sellers will see only the U.S. in the serviceable countries column

② Once you have selected the countries, you may set the applicable price, age rating and

category information.

③ In case you have selected Korea or the U.S., you may set the price for your application using

the pricing table provided. Only sellers with the “commercial seller status” may apply the price.

* For further information on how to become commercial sellers (partners), please refer to Section 2.

Commercial Seller Request in this guide.

* Private/corporate sellers may only select the U.S. shop.

④ Click the [Pricing Table] button to search for the Price Tier list.

⑤ Category: Select a category to which your application would belong according to the nature of

the application. Refer to the [Category Information] for further information by clicking the [?]

icon. Based on the information you set here, your application shall be distributed to the

corresponding category at the Samsung Apps TV store on TV and Web.

⑥ Rating: Select an appropriate age restriction rating. Refer to the Age Rating Guide for details.

⑦ Rating Certificate may be acquired through an external associated committee for certain

regions or countries. Upload the rating related documents issued by clicking the [Browse]

button.

⑧ For sellers with a Commercial Seller Status, the Item Registration button will be displayed.

You may register product information for your in-app items here. For more information on how

to register items, please refer to the In-App Purchase Guide.

⑨ Items with (*) mark are required information. Enter information for all items accurately. When





5.1.5 Step 5: Review

① This page allows final review of the registered items and contents. Click the [Go] button to

move to the applicable step if you need to modify information.

② Developer‟s E-Mail Account: Application ID and title are sent to the registered Developer‟s E-

Mail Account. When the developer uploads an app file at Samsung Developer Forum, he or

she must enter the Application ID and the title of the application given here.

③ In order to complete the application registration, be sure to click on the [Complete] button.

When the application information registration is completed, it can be searched from the

Registration Status list.

5.2 Upload Application File (at Samsung Developer Forum)

5.2.1 Upload your App File

① Visit Samsung Developer Forum at http://www.samsungdforum.com , and sign in

② Enter App Certification > App Upload menu and select “New Upload”

* When uploading your app file, you must input Application ID and Title for verification

* If you do not have an Application ID or Title, please register product information at Seller Office.

③ Upload required files for certification

• Application Description File (UI Doc.)

5.3 Application Certification Process

5.3.1 Application Certification (at Samsung Developer Forum)

In order to sell the application at Samsung Apps stores, the application must undergo a

certification process provided by Samsung, or its Affiliate to verify that the applicable product

complies with Samsung‟s sales policies and does not bear any controversies and be confirmed of

the execution without an error from a specified terminal.

The application certification process is done at Samsung Developer Forum (SDF). You may

check the status of your applications under the certification process at “App Certification” menu of

Samsung Developer Forum. Please visit SDF(http://www.samsungdforum.com/ ) for details on

how to develop applications and certification process.

5.3.2 Product Information Review (at Seller Office)

Once certified, your product information is reviewed at Seller Office before being distributed.

Product Information Review process consists of 4 stages: Registration Completed, Certification

Ready, Product Information Under Review and Confirmed. The status can be checked at

„Applications‟ > „Registration Status‟ menu of the Seller Office.

① Registration Completed

You have completed all steps, thus your product information for the application is registered

successfully. The next step is uploading you app file at Samsung Developer Forum and go

through certification process.

② Certification Ready

You have uploaded the App File at SDF, thus ready for the certification.

③ Product Information Under Review

Your application has passed the certification process, thus waiting for the review of product

information before being distributed.

④ Confirmed

Your product information is confirmed, ready to get distributed.

5.4 Application Modification Process

5.4.1 App File modification

After modifying your app file, you need to undergo a certification process again to check if there is

any functional defect or side effect after modification. Please visit Samsung Developer Forum

for details.

5.4.2 Product Information modification

① To modify the product information, click on [Application Title] from the list, click the [Edit]

button in the carried over screen, and then change the information.

Modification is not permitted if the application status is [Product Information Under Review].

② To go to the next stage, click the [Continue] button or the [Back] button to go back.

③ After modification is completed, be sure to press [Complete] button in Step 5 Review to submit

your modification request.

④ Your request will be reviewed by the Seller Office administrator before being confirmed. In

case your request is inacceptable, the [Rejected] icon as shown below will appear. Click the

icon to check the reasons for the rejection.

6.1 Sales Status

Check the status of your application on sale.

③ Sales status of the application is displayed. Type and detail of the status are as follows:

suspension of the sale.

For Sale(Ready for change) Being sold, but request for product information change has

been made or in progress.

• Until confirmed, associated information before

modification is displayed.

The applications here are the ones that are waiting to go on sale.

① You may register a new application by using “Add New” button.

* Monthly sales summary amount could vary from your final settlement amount due to charge backs, refund, etc

* Please refer to Settlement Report for your final quarterly adjusted amount.

7.2 Sales Report

A Sales report is a monthly report that allows you to check the amount to be settled even if the

actual settlement does not occur. Monthly sales amount here could vary from your final quarterly

adjusted amount due to refund, charge backs, etc.

① Click the [Details] button for each shop to check the number of sales and sales amount for

each application in the month selected.

7.3 Settlement Report

① A Settlement Report is a quarterly report on your final adjusted revenue.

② Actual remittance shall be made quarterly, under the condition that your accumulated total

adjusted amount for US is $500.00 or higher.

③ Actual remittance shall be made quarterly, under the condition that your accumulated total

adjusted amount for KR is \500,000 or higher.

④ Otherwise, your balance for each shop shall be carried over to next quarter(s).

and Conditions for details

8.1 Downloads & Sales

You may check your download and sales numbers by category, country and application. Also

sales numbers from your In-App items may be viewed.

① Select the period. Click the Quick Period button for convenient selection of the period.

② If you want to view by application titles, click the [Search] button and select the titles.
