Higher impact content with lower operational costsBusinesses seek the benefits of innovative LED technology, such as a slim, lightweight design, reduced power consumption and lower cost operation. While at the same time, they look to enhance their digital signs with large video walls.

As the market expands, two different needs for content management and playback capability are emerging. The customer who is adopting digital signage for the first time or on a small scale typically wants simplified content creation and management. Embedded media players offer a flexible all-in-one design with a simple content management solution, without the need of an external PC.

Along with the need for content management simplicity, the display of content on a single screen is becoming more complex. Content display includes entertainment, informative text and images, background music, widgets, advertisements and interactive media. Businesses require the full capability of content creation and device management. With the Setback Box (SBB), an additional PC module and MagicInfo™ Premium Server, companies can fulfill these requirements.

Expand your display options without having to expand your budgetSave on costs, maintenance and regular content management with a Samsung Smart Signage Platform. The embedded MagicInfo™ Premium S Player and MagicInfo™ Lite software perform media player functions that eliminate the need to purchase, install or use an external PC.

Built within a microchip, the internal media player has a CPU with an impressive processing speed and cache size. It offers convenient storage and plays a wide range of media types. For customers already using MagicInfo™ Lite, the PEC model provides MagicInfo™ Lite with the MagicInfo™ Premium S Player.

Easily access and display rich multimedia files and templates

MagicInfo™ Lite is the embedded media player version that provides basic function of content playback and scheduling. With the PEC model, users can continuously display content from a broad range of media. The media player supports greater content flexibility by delivering multiple content types simultaneously, such as entertainment and advertisements in two separate windows.

The embedded software is designed to give Samsung MDC and MEC displays a plug-and-play solution. Anyone can readily display multimedia files and templates saved on a USB™ drive by connecting it to the USB port. The remote control provides local scheduling and allows you to create customized content with pre-installed templates.

Fully manage and control devices and content With MagicInfo™ Premium i Player, businesses can easily manage content and deliver impactful messages to viewers through digital signage. The Samsung MDC, MEC Series supports a detachable SBB-A type PC module design. This allows you to attach the additional PC module to the back of the display and install the MagicInfo™ Premium i Player in the attached PC module.

MagicInfo™ Premium i Player works with the MagicInfo™ Server over a network and provides full management and control over network devices.

The MagicInfo™ Premium i Player is featured at the high end of the MagicInfo™ media player family. It provides full content support, including Internet content, Really Simple Syndication (RSS) content, multiple content types, effects and even database integration.

Sleek design with an easy setup

Achieve an aesthetic look with simplified installationDesigned for quick, easy installation, Samsung LED LFDs can usually be set up in minutes with little effort. Because of the lightweight design, the displays require less support to hold or carry. The streamlined dimensions make moving the displays more convenient and straightforward.

The edge-type and direct-type technologies offer slim panel proportions, which means less space is required for the displays. These innovative technologies are complemented by a contemporary design that adds a touch of sophistication to the overall experience.

A narrow bezel helps direct audience attention to the content. The slim bezel depth of 16.2 mm to 17.3 mm (0.6 in. to 0.68 in.) of the MEC Series leaves additional room for installation. Samsung MDC, MEC Series displays are lighter than conventional LFD models.

MEC Series LED LFD technologySamsung MEC Series is economical and gentle on the environment. MEC Series edge-type LEDs feature LED lamps located on the sides of the panel. The lamps emit light on the display sides, resulting in a much thinner screen. With fewer LED lamps, power consumption and heat emission are reduced. The LED LFD technology produces low carbon dioxide (CO

2) emissions.1

Digital signage conditions can be optimized by reducing the amount of heat radiating through the display area. Conventional LFDs emit consistent amounts of heat across the breadth of the displays. Samsung LFDs diminish the heat and spread it around the sides of the screen. This heat disbursement helps create a more enjoyable environment, especially when employees and customers are in close proximity to the displays.

MDC Series LED LFD technology The MDC Series provides high picture quality and realistic colour thanks to LED lamps that are located behind the panel. Its slim, lightweight design reduces power consumption.

Attract viewers with crystal clear picture quality The Samsung MDC, MEC Series Ultra-Clear Panel provides sharp, detailed images and enhanced picture quality. The panel reduces light scatter and reflection to increase readability.

High contrast ratio (MDC, MEC Series) and high brightness (MEC only) support a more attractive, vibrant display. Contrast ratio enhancements result in more detailed images.

Preserve a high image quality no matter the orientation Now it doesn’t matter if your content is in landscape or portrait mode, the MDC, MEC Series displays offer Image Rotation. Image Rotation allows for great display flexibility thanks to two resolution options: original resolution and auto full-sizing resolution. Both selections retain the high resolution of the original image.

Choose from a wider range of display and functionality options MEC Series monitors have optional overlay accessories to enhance their flexibility and usability. The Touch Module option is built exclusively for Samsung LED LFDs. The overlays protect or transform the monitors with little increase in depth. When the overlay accessories are added, the displays still weigh substantially less than conventional LCD LFDs.

The overlay accessories are designed for easy installation in three simple steps:

1. Position the overlay.

2. Push down the holders.

3. Fasten a few screws.

Touch Module Overlay option The Touch Module Overlay option transforms the display into a dynamic touch screen solution. The added touch capability enhances the user experience by enabling the user to interact with the content. Multiple users can participate simultaneously with touch capability up to six points. Monitor sizes from 32 to 55 inches feature an IR- or infrared-type touch.
