Hello, I’m Professor Peter Dettmar.

I have spent many years studying Reflux and the problems patients and doctors have in diagnosing it.

Reflux diagnosis typically entails several tests, such as 24/48 hour pH monitoring, pH Impedance, Barium Swallow, and Endoscopy, to establish whether Reflux is the problem. All expensive, invasive, time consuming and unpleasant for the patient.

I have developed Peptest to solve that problem.

1. Collect sample 2. Transfer 0.5ml of sample to blue

micro centrifuge tube

3. Centrifuge sample

for 5 minutes

4. Draw up 80µlfrom clear

supernatant layer

5. Add 80µl of sample to clear

screwtop microtube

6. Vortex mix for10 seconds

Positive result indicates that pepsin is present in the sample and is a reliable marker for the reflux of gastric juice.

When an accurate measure of the amount of pepsin in a sample is required the PeptestTM

LFD Reader can be used.

The intensity of the T-Line for a positive result can be used to give the concentration of pepsin in the sample in ng/ml.

15 minutes after introducing the sample to the PeptestTM LFD simply place the PeptestTM LFD in the reader, press the button and your result is displayed.

PeptestTM is specifically designed to detect the levels of Pepsin present outside the stomach: pepsin limit of detection 16 ng/ml

Negative resultindicates that no pepsin was detected in the clinical sample tested.

Void ResultIndicates that the LFD has not functioned properly.

7. Add 80µl to PeptestTM LFD

2. Reading the Results

3. Quantifying the Results1. Sample Analysis
