Sample Lesson Plan - Day 1 Focus : Listening and speaking Theme : World of Self, Family and Friends Topic : Delicious Food (TB pg 43) Learning Standard : 1.1.4 Able to talk about a stimulus with guidance. Objective : By the end of the lesson , pupils will be able to : 1. talk about food on the menu using simple structures orally. 2. role play a situation given using simple sentence structures. Activities : 1. Pupils are asked to talk about their favourite food and describe the food orally. 2. Pupils identify the food from the sample menu displayed by the teacher on the board. 3. Pupils talk about the menu . e.g. taste , price , colour 4. Pupils are given a task- role-play a situation at a restaurant . CCE : Entrepreneurship Assessment : B5 DL1 E1 Able to talk using simple sentence structures correctly in a given stimulus. ** ( if assessment is carried out by the teacher in this lesson )

:Pupils are able to read and understand sentences in non-linear

text by rearranging the sentences in the correct order.Activities

:1. Teacher displays the ingredients used to make vanilla

cupcakes.e.g : flour , eggs , butter , vanilla essence

2. Teacher demonstrates the steps in making the cupcakes while

pupils listen attentively.3. Pupils read the jumbled up sentence strips on the board

individually and in groups.4. Pupils recall the steps orally and rearranging the sentence strips shown.

5. Pupils are divided into groups; each group is given a

set of sentence strips.

6. In groups, pupils arrange the sentence strips in the correct

order and the first group to complete the task is the winner.

7. Written activity : Rearrange sentences in the correct order and rewrite them.

In groups, pupils perform the song with action . The group with the most accurate pronunciation , rhythm and intonation is the winner.
