Morning work: A one or two page exercise designed to review and enrich past learning concepts/targets. Includes math facts, reading, grammar, reasoning skills. 7. Math: Review previously covered concepts, introduce new or continue with current unit. 8. Reading: Utilize basal for spelling, vocabulary, characteristics of a text. Read aloud, echo read, choral read. 9. Reading groups: Utilize leveled reading material and level appropriate work and activities. 10. Science: Follow prescribed Michigan curriculum. 11. Social Studies: Review Michigan material, communities, (people, places, rural, urban, landforms, etc.). 12. Any “Specials” classes, i.e. Art, Music, P.E., Technology. 13. End of day procedures: Review agenda with work accomplished, self-assess according to classroom rules and expectations.
