Imperial College of Art London

st of October 2016. Class of History …
You all know about Napoleon Bonaparte, a French
leader and a great warrior said once that “Death is
nothing, but to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily”.
OLIVIA ……Stand up! Who is sleeping just behind
you?
Olivia: - sir!!! It’s Sophie.
Professor: - just wake her up.
Olivia: - Wake up Sophie, Wake up Sophie.
The pokes of Olivia’s hand on the head of Sophie
make Sophie awake.
Sophie: - uffff!! What happened Olivia?
Olivia: - stupid! See straight.
Sophie saw straight and noticed that the professor
was watching at her angrily as if she has committed a
big mistake.

Sophie: - ssss…Sorry sir.
Professor: - just shut up! And get out of my class
and now u don’t have permission to be in my class till
this semester.
Sophie: - sorry sir, I’m really sorry.
Professor: - No, It’s enough, it’s your daily routine,
just get lost.
Sophie collects her books in her bag and walks out.
Now Sophie is out of the class and moving towards the
library in search of something adventures.
Sophie is a common girl with exceptional thoughts.
She thinks in a diff. way. In her opinion life is not all about studying, finding jobs, boyfriends, marriage, Children and at last dies silently in any corner of the world. She thinks that adventure
is the most important part of life & the real joy of life is
living an adventurous life. So every time she tries to do
something special & something adventurous but the
people around her don’t like her too much because of her
adventures behavior. But this doesn’t affect her anyway.
Now Sophie is in the library and trying to
concentrate her mind on the book of history but fails.
Finally she decides to watch videos on her phone and
starts searching for the video like “famous leaders in
history, famous love story between 1990 to 2000” on
“YouTube”. After watching 2 or 3 videos she is scrolling
her screen up to down and down to up, suddenly she
finds a video or we can say that a slideshow full with
texts and pictures with 2 views only. It seems that
someone made a slideshow and uploaded this formally
as in memory of someone and the world of social
networking doesn’t give her precious attention to this
video seriously. Sophie starts watching video and
slideshow begins….

I am worried about the situation of my friend, who is sitting on the bench of Indian railway and crying rapidly. I always think that the boys of this era use girls only for the joy and the word love are just like a joke for them.
I salute you my friend for your passionate belief in love; you really redefine the definition of love. “Kya ye love story complete hogi, God knows!! {Will this love story be completed, God knows!!} I promise my friend I will keep this key ring with me forever in the phenomenal memory of your love. Hope for the best…. The End
This video made a serious impact on Sophie,
through all the day she was just thinking about this video
only; it seemed that she was just lost in the story of this
video. Many questions like, did this love story
completed? If yes, then how & if no then why? This
thought broke the wall of peace of her mind. Her
adventurous behavior encouraged her from inside to do
something in this concern. And finally she decided to
know all things about this video. She collected helpful
information from video like the name of station, picture
of the boy who uploaded this video etc. and walked to
her room for packing. The whole night she thought about

the boy & his story, upcoming morning she took a flight
to India. The journey was long enough to get tired
because of two continuous flights 1st from London to
Delhi and 2nd from Delhi to Kota but somehow she
muddled her destination without even getting a bit of
bore feeling. This was going to be a destination of
odyssey and finally she landed on her platform.

Chapter 2
Kota, Rajasthan {India}
W It wasn’t a planned trip. So, she moved out of the port
and needed a cab for herself. After walking a little
distance out, she just stopped for a second and stared out
the view of so many taxi drivers side by their taxis
shouting for passengers, money and some were so
convincing by making their charge down by 50%
directly, and other were trying to convince passengers by
giving all his effort. Some drivers who got passengers
were happy and who didn’t get were little sad. She took
a snap of that scene and felt so amazed. But after some
second much more amazed incident took place with her,
she felt that driver of taxis as well as passengers were
gazing her for a long. She felt a bit of
uncomfortableness, but she was aware of this expression
of people.
That white shiny skinny girl with reddish black
hairs was not less than an angel or a doll for that down
market and middle class taxi drivers and people there. It
was a fact too that for anybody she could be a
mesmerizing piece like a room full of art.
But as we all know that where there is evil there is
humanity. And to define humanity a taxi driver first
appeared. Whose look was like a pigmy hobo. And he

was not at all concerned of her beauty and personality.
He stepped to her very first and after him followed all
drivers and surrounds her. But she responded the first
driver only. And she hired his taxi.
She was trying her best to speak easiest English. As
she started speaking – Hotel!! Best hotel in city? That
hobo driver ignored her like an over smart and most
intelligent person on the earth, and directed her to move
inside the taxi. She managed her bags by herself and
hitched the door of taxi and got in a little comfort inside.
That man had a bit of pious behavior. He garlanded his
God with some flower petals and greeted her –“good
noon ma’am, Jai shree. Krishna”. She answered “yeah,
you too have a nice day. And then she reposed herself
for some minutes. Because it was an uneasy move to
land in another country like India and get a taxi for her
destination than chilling in London. After travelling 30
min. from the port she finally reached to a hotel, the
driver asked for the money she didn’t pay him because
she wanted to travel more. The excitement of Sophie
grew much as she put his bags in the hotel and moved
outside for the adventurous trip. She reached the station
in the evening at 3’o clock and started asking for the boy
to the shopkeepers of the railway station by exhibiting
the picture of the boy, unfortunately no one recognizes
the boy. Some shopkeepers said that it was impossible to
recognize one who existed three or four year before,
some laughed on her and some said bahanji aur koi kaam
nahi hai kya.{ u don’t have enough work to do? sister.}
After all this she was very tired & she wanted a
place to rest. Few moments later she saw the same chair
on which the boy was sitting in the video. She was
surprised to see the same chair in front of her. She
started to look it again and again as if her adventure got
a point, she felt the boy near her sitting on the chair, she
touched the whole chair lovingly and after sometime she

slept on that chair. It seemed that Sophia was attracted
towards the boy and falling in love with him.
Yatri gan kirpiya dhyan de……chaiiii chaiii…….gari no.12640 is coming on ……paper…errs…. paper………. {May I have your attention please…..tea tea……train no.12640……pprrrrrr……}
The sound made Sophie awake. The sun filled the
entire sky with the deep color of silver and the wind
gave a good morning hug to Sophie. She asked for a cup
of tea to a small boy whose dedication and funny voice
attracted Sophie. chaiiii….chaiiii garam…..madam
chaiii…..{tea…..hot tea…..madam tea…..}
She took a small sip of tea and started thinking;
“This is really impossible to find someone on this
station”. In every sip of tea she lost her hope and decided
to go back to London. After leaving the station she
finally prayed to God for some help. And someone said
truly that “God helps those, who help themselves’’.
After a second she felt a gentle touch on her
shoulder. She looked back and found an old man, the old
man was stooped and bent, his back was making the
shape of a C and his head bent so far forward that his
beard would nearly had touched his knobby knees.
Sophie thought that he was a beggar, so she gave some
change to that old man and said to go.
The old man procures the change and said; betti…..
Kya tum Kisi ko dhund rahi ho? {Did u looking for
someone?}
Sophie was surprised; she took a deep breath and
thanked God.
Yes!!!!! Uncle – kyaaa aap jante ho isse {do u
know him?}

Sophie speak and understand a little Hindi because
of a classmate, who is an Indian.
Old man: - After taking a look of the photo he
replied, Haa betti mai isse janta hu, aur mai bhikari bhi
nahi hu, mai isi station par safai ka kaam krta hu. {I am
not a beggar I am a cleaning worker here & Yes, I know
him.}
Sophie was overjoyed to hear him & she spoke in
one breathe, kaun hai? kaha rahta hai? kya krta hai? aap
kaise jante ho isse? ….she asked hin so many questions
at a time, Sophie didn’t control her emotion.
Old man: - ruko betti mai sab batata hu. {Wait, I
will tell you.} And he started speaking.
Do you know? Kota is just like a battle field. There
are millions of students come here every year to achieve
a ladder to their dream. Someone finds that ladder,
someone doesn’t!! Someone tries again to achieve &
some lose their life in this battle. I saw millions of
students on this station but none of them was in my
memory, but this lad and his friend are always in my
thought. You can’t believe time is changing rapidly but I
know this boy after passing three or four years, I don’t
know why they came here that day. I was on my duty
and trying to clean the whole station .when I reached
here I saw a boy crying rapidly and his friend were
giving him hope and said to stop crying.
Sophie: - uncle!! This was an unusual scène, there
are many people who is crying here but no one is
permanently in your mind. Why he?
Old man: - yup, you are right, but they r different.
Many people cry here when someone special is going far
away from them and after going they stop crying after
sometime. But the boy who is with him couldn’t stop his
emotions. It seems that someone special had gone far

away from him and he had a full faith, one that had gone
permanently, would come to meet him again. His
confidence & lovable hope attracted me in a way that I
can’t forget him till now. In this world where all are just
thinking about themselves only, I found them; a boy full
with dedication towards someone and a true friend who
was always with him.
Sophie: - do u know where he lives?
Old man: - no.
The negative answer made Sophie sad. She again
lost her hope. After thanking the old man she collected
her stuff and started moving towards the exit gate. As
soon as she passed out the gate a voice stopped her. It
was the old man who was trying hard to reach near her
as soon as possible. She looked back again and stopped.
The old men came to her and said: - I don’t know how to
help u? But I have this; I hope this will help u in your
work. I found it when they went from here. I searched
them a lot to return this but failed.
This things matter much for hopeless Sophie. It was
the ID card of the boy who uploaded the video. Sophie
took it from him kissed the cheek of the old man in
excitement and thanked him a lot. Now Sophie really
had something which would help her to join the next
step of the story. As she passed her whole night on
station, she went in hotel for rest and to complete her
daily routine. As girl took long time to dress and make
themselves attractive but the excitement level of Sophie
made her dressed in a very short period of time. After
that she reached to the head office of AKASH
INSTITUTE, KOTA. She went through the main
counter and asked for the address of the boy by showing
him the ID card. At first, the man on the administrative
department denied to do so. But after sometime he was
convinced with Sophie and gave her the address.

She ordered the driver to get her at CP COLONY,
