This Samba drumming performance is something to be remembered; the

movement, the sound, the colours, and skills, our performances stimulate all

of the senses! You will see and feel the entire room light up with our Brazilian

beats!! The performance can be all drummers or a mix of brass and drummers,

and can even include a juggling tambourine solo (Pandeiro juggling). The

Olympics are in Brazil in 2016 so having a Samba Drumming Performance at

your event is not only going to be an exciting and dynamic feature, but also

current!

20 Minute “cabaret style performance” based on 6 performers:

o Opening: 3 mins of Brazilian style samba!

o 2 mins instrumental demonstration where each player shows off their

instrument…

o 2 Mins Cuica (sounds like a bird) followed by a slower Samba groove into Rio

Samba

o OPTIONAL / AVAILABILITY DEPENDING: 4 mins Tamborine solo “Pandeiro

juggling”

o OPTIONAL: Trumpet

o INTERACTIVE: Percussion call and answer with audience participation

o 3 mins ijexa rhythm.

o All 6 drummers singing and drumming with the audience joining in with the

singing

o 3 mins Afro Brazilian drum solos / drum battle and finale.

Sound Requirements: This is no need for a PA system for up to 100 people however a good quality recognised sound system, microphone, monitors, sound engineer is required for audience numbers above 100 (a full technical rider is available upon request) Firebird Events can provide the aforementioned if required: Price from £POA

Space Requirements: 3 performers: 2m x 2m, 6 performers: 3m x 2m and 12 performers: 4m x 4m
