*I hook

*Worsted weight Yarn in two colors MC and CC

I used Reynolds Signature Worsted(Similar in weight to Caron Simply Soft

and Lion Brand Wool Easenot Vannas Choice,

Red Heart. See pg 7 for more notes on yarn)

*Scissors

*Yarn Needle

Gauge: 7scs and 11 rows = 2 square

2 LLSs = 2 wide

Notes:Always join your finished Rnds with a sl st to the first st of previous rnd.

Special Stitch: (see tutorial photos on pgs 8 and 9)

Long Loop Stitch (LLS) *yo, insert hk into the space to the right of the space you are

currently working in (see note below for help), yo and pull up a long lp, repeat from *

three more times, yo and pull through all lps on hk, yo, pull through and pull tight.

LLS notes:the space you will work your LLS into will either be: two hdc to the right (in

a ch 1 space of previous rnd) or three hdc to the right. Once youve started working your

LLSs, you may need to pull a LLS a little bit out of the way to see where your hook will

go)

More yarn notes: When I used Caron Simply Soft the pattern got the right gauge in

width but the length was shorter...this must have something to do with the loft of the yarn.

So if you use Caron Simply Soft, you may need to add a couple more of the LLS rows.
