Salt of the Earth Foundation is an ethical philanthropic fair trade association with a vision to give back to the communities and peoples whose hard work and sweat created the foods and goods that are the source of the hugely profitable global network of commodity trading.
We are a non profit wholistic organisation - all of the profits generated through our busniess ideas will go to assisting impoverished communities in developing nations - thus returning a more balanced share of wealth to those creating the foods and products that are basis of global food and resource trading.
Salt of the Earth Foundation will be promoting the expansion of this simple but vital concept and encouraging other trade companies to join, and thus acknowledge that vast wealth in the developed nations was created through these unfair historical global imbalances.
Salt of the Earth's "sharing and caring" policy is designed to assist healing for future generations and to create a more harmonious global environment where fair trade, human rights and equity in accessing the basic nessesities of life for all can be achieved through the thoughtful consideration and practical efforts of business and governments alike…THIS IS THE ONLY FUTURE POSSIBLE ON EARTH FOR US ALL.
Salt of the Earth Foundation supports the concept of the Fair Trade Movement which seeks to promote greater equity in international trading partnerships through dialogue, transparency, and respect. It works to promote sustainable development by offering better trading conditions to, and securing the rights of, marginalized producers and workers in developing countries.

Himalayan Rock Salt is a symbol of purity - the purest salt available on earth and is absolutely uncontaminated with any toxins or pollutants. Himalayan Rock Salt is also known as pink rock salt because of its distinctive pale pink colour. Mined in remote regions of Pakistan, Himalayan rock salt is a naturally occurring salt rich in numerous minerals important for human health. Himalayan salt can be harvested as large blocks, such as for cooking slabs or making rock salt lamps, or it can be crushed into medium and small pieces. It can also be ground up at home in a salt grinder to use in cooking, much like regular sea salt. We currently market 9 grades of pure Himalayan Rock Salt and are devloping imports in culinary herbs and spices.

The world is out of balance. There are natural resources enough to feed the hungry, cloth and shelter the homeless. Yet there are huge inequities in the distribution of these basic resources, when these should be every person's right - food, clothing shelter, clean water. We all deserve a fair share. Children should not be going hungry.
The Salt of the Earth Foundation is a philanthropic organisation with a vision to use business to generate resources that can help bring about change in this historical global inequality.
We are building a system of wealth generation which will create resources that can be used to feed and clothe people in need, the hungry, orphans, and the vicitms of war.

HIMALAYAN ROCk SALT - A NATURALLY OCCURRINg gIFT TO YOUR HEALTH AND TO TASTY COOkINg.Himalayan Rock Salt is the highest grade of natural salt.
U n d e r a n e l e c t r o n microscope, crystal salt has a perfect crystalline structure.
It is mined by hand and hand-washed.
Crystal salt is immune to electromagnetic fields.
Crystal Salt contains no environmental pollutants.
There is no limited shelf life (it's 250 million years old) and therefore no need for silica packets to prevent clumping.Using It in CookingHimalayan rock salt can be used in cooking either

Ben Debs and Barry Ferrier began planning and devloping ideas for
a philanthropic foundation that addressed the global imbalances
in wealth and inequalities in accessing the world's resources
2013
Ben and Barry formed Sydney Organic Trading Comapny in
partnership with Ranbir Singh, who introduced Bill Alexiou-
Hucker to the group. Through Bill's contacts and knowledge of
logistics the possibility of trading in Himalayan Rock Salt as a basis
for developing a sound business to underpin the Foundation was
identified. Andrew gleeson joined the team.
2014
Salt of the Earth Foundation was established as a registered
business and began trading. The Salt of the Earth Foundation
Website and start up introductory promotional material was
developed.
2015
There's a road ahead and a mountain to climb. The story unfolds.
