“Gospel Through Youtube.com” How can we be God’s witnesses in this high-tech generation?

If we are called by Jesus to be fishers of men, where should we cast our net? In much prayer and after talking to many teenagers we learned that we could motivate Christian teenagers and reach out youth that are confused and rebelling against God through Youtube.com. We recently worked with Emanuel church youth group in filming a second music video. It took us two weeks—filming, editing, and finalizing it. The video was finished filming on April 30, 2011. The title is “Jovenes Estare Aqui.” The song is by Alex Zurdo, a Christian Latino rapper. We showed it at three different local churches. Also, we uploaded it to Youtube.com. Currently, it has been watched from Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Venezuela, Colombia, Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, the United Sates of America, and Canada. We estimated that at least seven hundred people have watched this video. It is our prayer that God will use this music video to reach out to youth worldwide as we cast our “net” beyond Tijuana.

“Classic Car SHOW Evangelism” On August 28, 2011 Making New Destinies Christian Men Drug & Alcohol rehab center where James

does leadership training, is organizing their 2nd Classic Car show evangelism event in the local Wal-Mart parking lot. A year ago, Carlos, the director of the rehab center, asked James what he thought about a car show in order to reach people for Christ. James told him that they didn’t cover car shows at Calvin Seminary, but that it appeared an excellent idea for evangelism and thinking outside of the box. They prayed together about it. Last year, they organized the 1st Classic Car show evangelism where ninety classic cars participated and more than five thousand people came. That day at least one hundred fifty people accepted the LORD as their Savior.

This year in the midst of media’s negative view on Tijuana, the LORD is doing awesome transformational work in Tijuana again, especially through former drug addicts and gang members. Their faith is contagious and fearless. They are willing to serve at any cost. With that conviction, passion, and prayers, we are initiating the second Classic Car show evangelism. There will be four local churches supporting this event. They will be helping out in different game stations: Jenga, face painting, balloon animals, water balloons, bowling, family pictures, and more. This year we are expecting one hundred twenty classic cars participants and even some are coming from San Diego. More than five thousand people would come. Thus, God calls and works with former drug addicts and gang members to bring gospel to their own city. Isn’t it exciting?
