Salmon get endangered by lots of different things like predators (bears, birds, etc.).They are also endangered by humans (fishing, pollution, dams, etc.). This of course is bad for them all.

Bears have a big part in this they wait every year as the salmon migrate and catch and eat tons of the salmon. They wait at the top of waterfalls and a fish will jump straight into their mouth.

By far the worst thing for salmon is pollution which will:

• Kill them in the poisoned water

• Get scum stuck in their gills

• Get them caught in trash

They have lots of troubles with pollution.

People love fishing for salmon. They are delicious and can be cooked in many ways (recipes). People can overfish them though (How much). It is a very popular hobby and meal.

People can overfish which endangers salmon. The limit in rouge river is 2 king salmon a day for fishing so people could easily get carried away. That’s to bad for other fishers and the salmon.

Broiled Salmon with Herb MustardIngredients

• 2 garlic cloves• ¾ teaspoon chopped rosemary• ¾ teaspoon chopped thyme• 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil• 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard• 2 tablespoons whole grain mustard• Nonstick olive oil cooking spray• 6 (6-8 ounce) salmon fillets• Salt and ground black pepper• 6 lemon wedges

Directions

In a mini food processor, combine garlic, rosemary, thyme, oil, Dijon mustard, and 1 tablespoon of whole-grain mustard. Grind the mustard sauce until combined, about 30 seconds. Transfer to a small bowl. Add remaining 1 tablespoon of whole-grain mustard to the sauce and stir to combine. Set aside mustard sauce.

Preheat the broiler. Line a heavy rimmed baking sheet with foil. Spray the foil with nonstick spray. Arrange the salmon fillets on the baking sheet and sprinkle them with salt and pepper. Broil for 2 minutes. Spoon the mustard sauce over the fillets. Continue broiling until the fillets are just cooked through and golden brown, about 5 minutes longer.

Transfer the fillets to plates and serve with lemon wedges.
