Outdoor Places Ltd is a family-run, nationwide business that manufactures and installs playground equipment, artificial grass and Play surfacing. We pride ourselves on creating exciting, innovative and educational outdoor play areas that get children active.

Our head office and manufacturing facilities are situated in Suffolk & Essex and we have fantastic teams operating across the UK.

Run by Jon-Paul and Candice Cook we have been in the construction and Play industry since 2000. Our fantastic management team have been with us over 10 years, as have many of our staff.

We pride ourselves on delivering creative projects on time and within budget for our clients, whilst maximising value for money by installing all projects through our in house teams.

Solution:Outdoor Places designed a complete facelift:- filling in the old pond, a new mini open gazebo, all weather artificial grass, landscaping to remove old shrubs, to offer a new all weather outdoor Rest and Relaxation area for the children – providing a safe, practical and value for money solution.

Problem:Worn out and dangerous garden area next to playground with an open old concrete pond, brambles, and for an inner city school with very limited play space – school wanted to transform this into a more relaxed and useable area for the children, adding something new and exciting.

Problem:The Key Stage one Play area was in need to rejuvenation – with condemned play equipment and a limited budget, and covering an area in excess of 400 sq metres – it was impossible to resurface the complete area, but needed to offer safe imaginative year round play with new challenging equipment for the children.

Solution:Outdoor Places designed and installed a fresh new look with 5 new pieces of our own trim trail equipment and a colourful Blue Artificial Grass Surfacing to link in with the existing all weather surface. Including our own ‘Sunken Galleon’ the end project transformed the area – came in on Budget and added a fresh new look and experience for the children.

Problem:The nursery garden play area needed improvement. The grass was worn out with muddy areas and the old wooden play equipment was no longer fit for purpose.

Solution:Outdoor Places designed and installed a complete makeover project, transforming the play area. A low level balance trail was installed on new artificial grass surfacing with an in-laid terracotta cycle track. It was all completed on time, with minimal disruption and to a £12,000 budget. The new cycle track and wooden trail allows the children to enjoy new play experiences safely all year round.

Problem:The school had suffered for years with a large muddy worn open front field. As their only large outdoor play area it did not provide year round play, was a dustbowl in summer and mud bath in winter – with a lot of trees and root systems to shade the area and prevent grass from growing.The school was in a highly residential area, and sensitive to plant, machinery and a major project taking place locally to them.

Solution:Outdoor Places managed and supplied a 1500m2 new artificial grass installation – working around local planning issues, residents to provide a beautiful and functional all year-round sports field suitable for general play or sport if required. Project managed in conjunction with local residents and council staff – the school were delighted with the end project , a number of variations and the skilled outdoor places staff.
