You are Peter and upon this rock I will build my Church,
and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it.

“Be Still and Know That I am God.” (Psalm 46:10)
Spend some personal, quiet, one-on-one time with Our Lord Jesus Christ. Abandon
yourself to Jesus in this "Sacrament of Love" and He will refresh you! He is always
there waiting for you and He speaks to you in the silence.
Eucharistic Adoration is open to all and is held every Tuesday from 8 am to 7 pm and will
conclude with a Mass.
If you are interested in becoming an adorer or, would like to have more information about
Eucharistic Adoration at Sacred Heart Church, you may contact Joann Di Liberto at 610-932-8962.
Eucharistic Adoration
Stewardship Corner ~
On Friday June 27th, we celebrated the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. In honor of this particular feast, I thought I would share with you an excerpt from Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI’s homily on this day a few years ago. It describes the love God has for us, as portrayed through the heart of Jesus, and therefore shows us how we are to act as good stewards of the faith towards others.
The heart of God burns with compassion! On today’s solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus the Church presents us this mystery for our contemplation: the mystery of the heart of a God who feels compassion and who bestows all his love upon humanity. A mysterious love, which in the texts of the New Testament is revealed to us as God’s boundless and passionate love for mankind. God does not lose heart in the face of ingratitude or rejection by the people he has chosen; rather, with infinite mercy he sends his only-begotten Son into the world to take upon himself the fate of a shattered love, so that by defeating the power of evil and death he could restore to human beings enslaved by sin their dignity as sons and daughters. But this took place at great cost—the only-begotten Son of the Father was sacrificed on the Cross: “Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end” (cf. Jn 13:1). The symbol of this love which transcends death is his side, pierced by a spear.
Looking to God always as an example, and striving to be more perfect through Him, we too must
be compassionate. We too must strive to be merciful to our brothers and sisters, and ready to lay
down our lives for them even when they are not ready to do the same for us, even in the face of
adversity. Jesus did this for us on the cross so that we would not be enslaved by sin, and so that
we could live as dignified persons. Let us, as good stewards, learn to do this too for our brothers
and sisters by reflecting on sacrifices we are able to make for them.
Peace,
Kaitlyn Wiant
