The newest members of the New Orleans Saints will come to the team this week, as the 83rd annual NFL Draft will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday from April 25-27 in Nashville, Tenn. The draft will kick off in its primetime format for the tenth consecutive year at 7:00 p.m. (CT) on Thursday evening, with the first round to be completed. The draft will resume on Friday evening at 6:00 p.m. for rounds two and three with the remaining four rounds to be completed on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. The Saints own six picks in the seven rounds, with their highest being a second round draft choice (62nd overall). New Orleans will be looking to further supplement the roster following drafts the past four seasons which have netted four Pro Bowl selections, nine starters and sev- eral additional significant contributors with their picks, headlined by RB Alvin Kamara, CB Marshon Lattimore, G/C Andrus Peat and WR Michael Thomas. ABC/ESPN and the NFL Network will pro- vide full live coverage and analysis of the 2019 NFL Draft on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in its entirety. The first round will conclude by approximately 10:30 p.m., the second and third rounds will end by 9:45 and Saturday’s selec- tions will conclude around 6:15. Each team is permitted a maximum of ten minutes per selection in the first round of the draft, seven minutes in the second round, five minutes for choices made in rounds three through six and four minutes for choices in round seven. Trading is allowed throughout the course of the draft. There will be a total of seven rounds and 254 selections (222 regular picks and 32 com- pensatory choices) in the 2019 NFL Draft. The NFL awarded 32 draft picks to 17 teams that sustained a net loss of unrestricted free agents last year. A team that loses more unrestricted free agents than it acquires in the previ- ous year is eligible to receive compensa- tory draft choices. The Saints were not awarded a compensatory pick in 2019. 2011Round 1a: Defensive End Cameron Jordan – Ledteam with 12 sacks in 2018, as he moved into fourthplace on the club’s all-time list for quarterback take-downs (71.5) and was named Associated Press All-Pro for the second consecutive season and went tohis second consecutive Pro Bowl.

2010Round 1: Cornerback Patrick Robinson – Defenderreturned to New Orleans in 2018 following a career-high five picks in the regular season and postseasonin 2017 in Philadelphia. After suffering a season-end-ing ankle injury in Week Three, is expected to con-tribute in the nickel in 2019.

2009Round 5: Punter Thomas Morstead – The club’s all-time punting leader with a 46.9 gross punting aver-age and 41.4 net. Led the National Football Leaguewith a 43.2 net punting average in 2018, as he wasnamed Pro Football Focus’ Special Teams Player ofthe Year.
