The possibility of arranging the following distance courses in the field of Telemedicine and e-Health is currently discussed by ITMO and NST:

• Telemedicine and e-health systems• Medical informatics

As expected, a group of students ca 15-20 people will take part at the lecture series.University ITMO uses teaching methods based on Web2.0 Technology and Social Group concept for distance learning http://en.ifmo.ru/groups/group.html.For each distance course the dedicated social group is created due to students and teaching staff will be able to see lectures live over the Internet and share lecture materials for downloading.Students have the option of logging in at a later time to watch video materials of the lecture. The lecturer will normally provide students with lecture notes, a recommended text book and a reading list. Student is also able to upload completed assignments and access various teaching materials, handouts to assist their study and to interact with tutors.
