THANKS AND FAREWELL to CINDY
Cynthia Paoletti has been secretary at Holy Spirit Church for the past eleven years. Cindy’s personal interest, willingness to be of assistance to all of our community, clergy, staff and parishioners, has been greatly appreciated. She has monitored the phones, prepared the weekly bulletin, taken care of basic financial business, and has been of help wherever and whenever needed.
We are grateful for Cindy’s faithful service and wish her health and much happiness as she plans to fulfill a longtime hope and desire to retire to Florida.
God bless you, Cindy and thank you.

Offertory Envelopes and
Writing Checks to the Parish
Although the canonical merger
of Saint Mary and Holy Spirit
parishes to form the new
Annunciation Parish was
effective June 29th, the civil
(corporate) name change awaits action by the
State of Connecticut, which could take some
time. Therefore, please continue to make your
checks (for offertory and other purposes) paya-
ble to “St. Mary Church” or “Holy Spirit Church”
until further notice.
Thank you for your continued generosity!
Emergency Collection TODAY - Hurricane Relief
Over the past week, we have all been following the historic flooding in the Gulf coast of Texas.
Hurricane Harvey has created an unprecedented and catastrophic weather event of immense
proportions. The United States Council of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has requested an emergency
collection to assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Archbishop Blair has asked all parishes to
take up an emergency collection to assist the victims of Hurricane Harvey. This emergency
collection will be used both to support the humanitarian and recovery efforts of Catholic Charities
USA and to provide pastoral and rebuilding support to impacted dioceses through the USCCB.
Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
During the week, please remember in your prayers
the following parishioners who are experiencing illness:
