Baptism Baptism is celebrated after consultation with the parish staff as to date. Registered membership in the parish and attendance at a Baptism Class are required for all parents prior to their first child’s Baptism.
Holy Communion A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the first grade. It culminates in the celebration of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the second grade.
Confirmation A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the seventh grade. It culminates in the celebration of Confirmation.
Matrimony A six-month required sacramental preparation process begins when the engaged couple meets with the priest or deacon and culminates in the couple’s exchange of consent on their wedding day.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
A one-year process for preparation and study is required for all those interested in becoming Catholic.

AYÚDAME, SEÑOR Hoy escuchamos lecturas que nos acercan al misterio de sufri-miento y muerte. En los últimos años hemos sido testigos de la de-vastación de vidas y propiedades a manos de tsunamis y huracanes. Muchos elevaron su lamento a Dios y preguntaron: “¿Por qué?” Esta es una expresión sincera de ira hacia un Dios que creemos da la vida. Cuando perdemos a un ser querido, puede que nos preguntemos por qué la presencia de Cristo no es suficiente para hacer que esa perso-na resucite, incluso de entre los muertos, como la pequeña niña del pasaje del Evangelio de hoy. Entonces alzamos la voz y pregunta-mos: “¿Por qué?” En momentos como estos, debemos acudir a la oración del salmista: “¡Escucha Señor y ten piedad de mí; Señor, so-córreme”. Those wishing to honor a loved one during the celebration of Mass—for the living or the deceased, or for prayerful remembrance of anniversaries, birthdays, and other special intentions—may call or visit the office.
Masses are usually scheduled weeks in advance, so if there is a particular date on which you want the Mass Intention, please make the request well ahead of time.

Parents, you can learn how to be the educators of your children. The year ahead holds potential to draw you
and your family closer to God.
Please consider being a catechist. You will not be on your own. We have the books and resources for you to follow as well as other catechists to support you.
We need three teachers for Pre-school/Kindergarten, four teachers for 1st grade and two teachers for 3rd and 4th grade.
We would also appreciate parent aides for 2nd grade Sacramental Preparation (Reconciliation and Holy Communion).
Registration for students begins June 30/July 1.

Summer Feeding Program Thursdays Noon to 1:00 through 7/19
Mercer County Public Library in collaboration with the Mercer
County School District, will serve as a satellite site for Summer Feeding Program. ANY and ALL children,
ages 18 and under can eat lunch for free. Adults may eat at a reduced rate of $3.50 per meal. MUST be
eaten on site. Stories and other ac-tivities will be available during the service of the meal. Preregistration is encouraged in order to allow the
school system to adequately pre-pare and deliver enough food.
