Our Advent Pen-ance Service is Tuesday, November 29, 6:00-8:00 p.m. Father John and Fa-ther Fausto will have the assistance

of many neighboring priests. Plan now to make this night an im-portant part of your preparation for Christmas.

Mass On Thanksgiving Day is at 9:00 a.m. Begin your holiday with the Church’s great act of thanksgiving, the Eucha-rist! You are welcome to bring a por-tion of your Thanksgiving meal and place it on the sanctuary steps before Mass to be blessed during Mass.

Table Liturgy for the Feast of Thanksgiving Come, let us welcome the feast of Thanksgiving with joy and light. The Lord is our light and our salvation. May the light of gratitude burn brightly in our hearts and around this table, Not only on the feast of Thanksgiving, but at all meals.

Light the candle(s) on the table

In the silence of our hearts, let each of us give thanks for all the many gifts that are ours.

Pause for silent reflection

Let us also be mindful of those today who are without food and a home.

Pause for silent reflection

And let us remember those whom we love who are not now present at our table.

Pause for silent reflection Lord of Gifts, From Your holy heart has come a flood of gifts to us. With uplifted hearts, we have gathered around this table to thank You with prayer and with the worship of feasting. We are grateful not only for the gifts of life itself, but for all the gifts of friendship, love, devotion and forgiveness that we have shared. On this feast of giving thanks, Lord God, we thank You for showing us how to return thanks by lives of service, by deeds of hospitality, by kindness to a stranger, and by concern for each other. We are most grateful, this feast day, for the way You, our hidden God, have become visible to us in one another, in countless daily gifts and in the mar-vels of creation. Come, Lord of Gifts, and bless our table and all the food of this feast. Let us thank the Lord, today and all days. Amen.

The Second Collection Next Week is for our Parish Debt Reduction Fund. Your gifts to this fund, over and above your regular offerings for parish support, are helping us accelerate the retirement of our parish debt. Thank you!

With The Year End Approaching, there are opportuni-ties for you to be tax-wise in your charitable giving. A cash gift to St. Lawrence of any amount will provide an income tax deduction for this year. A gift of stock or real estate avoids capital gains tax on the sale of appreciated assets and provides a charitable deduction. For information about giving strategies that can provide additional tax savings and cash flow, contact Diane Duquette, Director of Gift Planning, The Catholic Foundation of North Georgia, [email protected] or 404.497.9440.

Elementary PSR classes are held on Sundays and Wednesdays. Ques-tions? Contact Beth Hodgson at [email protected] or 678-240-3069.

Parish RCIA Sponsors are needed to befriend and welcome those who are considering joining our Church. We meet on Tuesday nights at 7:00 p.m. and will be worshiping at the 10:00 a.m. Mass for Dismissal. This is one way our parish community takes part in this formation process. Another way is to pray daily for those in the process as well as those leading them towards the Easter sac-raments. If you feel called by God to companion someone contact Diane at [email protected].

19,546 Food Items Donated! Thank you to all parishioners who helped to make the Food Drive a suc-cess! This year we were able to give even more than last year to the Law-renceville Co-op, and again this was their largest single donation ever received. It was a wonderful experi-ence to see the teens and the whole church come together to help the Lawrenceville Co-op and our neigh-bors in need. “Whatever you did for the least of these brothers and sisters, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40 Is God calling you to minister to young people? We’d love to have you! There are many different ways to get involved with Life Teen and the Edge. Questions? Contact Michele McPheely, Youth Minister, at [email protected] CHWC 2017—Register now!! We will be going to Charleston, SC July 16-22. Teens in grades 8-12th are welcome to join for a week you will always remember at Catholic Heart Work Camp!
