TAUGHT THEE THAT THE CHILD WAS CONCEIVED BY A BREATH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Page 2: Saint Joseph the Worker - LatinPropers.comhonóre nisi in pátria sua et in domo sua.” At that time, when Jesus

Brethren: Have charity, which is the bond of perfection, and may the peace of Christ reign in your hearts; unto that peace, indeed, you were called in one body. Show yourselves thankful. Whatever you do in word or in work, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Whatever you do, work at it from the heart as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. Serve the Lord Christ.

GRADUAL: PS. 127. 1-2

Beátus quicúmque times Dóminum, qui ámbulas in viis ejus. ℣. Labórem mánuum tuárum manducábis, et bene tibi erit.

Blessed are you who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways. ℣. For you shall eat the fruit of your handiwork, and it shall be well with you.

ALLELUIA

Allelúia, allelúia. ℣. ℣. Fac nos innócuam, Joseph, decúrrere vitam, sitque tuo semper tuta patrocínio. Allelúia.

Alleluia, alleluia! ℣. In whatever tribulation they shall cry to me, I will hear them and be their protector always. Alleluia! ℣. Obtain for us, Joseph, grace to lead an innocent life, that we may always be protected by your patronage. Alleluia!

TRACT: PS. 111. 1-3

Beátus vir qui timet Dóminum, qui mandátis ejus delectátur multum. ℣. Potens in terra erit semen ejus; generatióni rectórum benedicétur. ℣. Opes et divítiæ in domo ejus, et munificéntia ejus manébit semper.

Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments. ℣. His posterity shall be mighty upon the earth; the righteous generation shall be blessed. ℣. Glory and wealth shall be in his house, and his righteousness shall endure forever.

GOSPEL: MATT. 13. 54-58

At that time, when Jesus had come to his own country, he began to teach them in their synagogues, so that they were astonished, and said, “How did this man come by this wisdom and these miracles? Is not this the carpenter’s son? Is not his mother called Mary, and his brethren James and Joseph and Simon and Jude? And his sisters, are they not all with us? Then where did be get all this?” And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, and in his own house.” And because of their unbelief, he did not work many miracles there

Offertory: Ps: 89:17

(T.P. Alleluia.)

May the tender care of the Lord our God watch over us, and direct the work of our bands for us! yes, direct the work of our hands. (P.T. Alleluia!)

Secret

Quas tibi, Dómine, de opéribus mánuum nostrárum offerímus hóstias, sancti Joseph interpósito suffrágio, pignus facias nobis unitátis et pacis. Per Dóminum.

May these offerings that we have labored with our hands to make - which we now lay before you in sacrifice, O Lord; through the mediation of Saint Joseph may it be a pledge of unity and peace through the intercession of blessed Joseph. Through our Lord.

Preface of St. Joseph
