GROVER REEVES COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING MEAL…
Don’t do Thanksgiving alone this year
Each year churches from the Cullman City and County come together to provide
approximately 1200-1500 meals on Thanksgiving Day. Meals are delivered across Cullman County to those who cannot drive and others who would possibly not
have a meal on Thanksgiving.
In addition, meals are also delivered to the Cullman County Correctional Facility, Sheriff’s Department, Cullman City Police and Fire Departments, 911 Workers
and other emergency personnel.
SJ’s will again this year be the host site for the meal. Members and friends will have many service opportunities to work alongside other area churches, as one
body, as we bless those less fortunate.
Also, if you will be alone this Thanksgiving, we invite you to come, eat and
fellowship with us and enjoy your Thanksgiving meal with us. Call the church office by noon on NOVEMBER 21ST to reserve your plate.
We had a wonderful response from SJ’s last year and hope that you will come
and serve with us again this year!
Volunteers needed for many spots of service:
♦ Wash turkeys ♦ Debone turkeys ♦ meal delivery drivers ♦ set up ♦ servers ♦ runners ♦ greeters ♦ prepare to go boxes ♦ bus tables ♦ garbage duty, wash dishes ,clean up
Sign up sheets available outside the sanctuary or in the back of Christ Hall this morning.

St. John’s is a Church of Grace and Truth
At St. John’s we seek to be grace-filled, graceful, and a people of truth.
Believing Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, we understand our need
for the grace he offers. We believe in responding in gratitude for the grace
we have received by extending grace to others. We do this by loving God,
one another, and our community, and reorienting our lives around the
truths handed to us through the Holy Scriptures. Join us in the journey!
