“Resolutions: If they are only
"illusions"...where is the wisdom in that?”
Resolve to make changes within yourself,
so that your heart and mind may be transformed, and you may
be drawn closer to God.
In Christ—blessings!! Dcn. Severo †
Holy Day of Obligation
Reminder
The Solemnity of Mary,
Mother of God is a Holy
Day of Obligation. On
this holy feast day, we
take a moment as we
start our new year to
honor our Blessed
Mother, who in her
“yes” to God brought
our Savior into the
world to redeem us. We
have two options for
Mass.

The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph
On this day for the last time in the cycle of the liturgical
year, the Church invites us to contemplate the mystery of
Jesus’ humble, hidden life. A feeling of close intimacy and
tenderness characterizes this Feast and is expressed in
the liturgy of the day. It is good for us to recall the little
home at Nazareth and the humble life of those who lived
there. In it, Jesus learned
Joseph’s humble trade,
and grew in age, and was
happy sharing the work of
a carpenter. (Dan Burke,

Confession & Eucharistic Adoration
On Saturday, January 4th at 4:00pm, we
will have confession and Eucharistic
adoration available for everyone. It will be a
peaceful and cleansing way to start 2020.
Mark your calendars to join us every 1st
Saturday of the month for this holy time.
Children's Nativity Play Volunteers
Thank you to all the volunteers who help us pull off a
beautiful and fun nativity play with our youth faith
formation kids. Special acknowledgment goes
to Mary Morris, Kayleigh Ariaz, David Ariaz, Leo
Guerrero, Susan Miller, Belinda Martinez,
Myrna Porras, and Nancy Sanchez.
