FORMULATION A-60-G Outlasts and outperformsneoprene, EPDM and otherspecialty rubber tubings
NORPRENE® Industrial Grade Tubing
For extended service in a wide variety of applications, Norprene® IndustrialGrade Tubing outlasts virtually all multi-service rubber tubings.
From the Makers of TYGON®
High Performance Alternative to General Purpose Rubber TubingNorprene® Industrial Grade Tubing outperforms neoprene, EPDM and other general-purpose tubings in test after test and application after application. It will not weaken orcrack after years of exposure to heat and ozone, providing long service in a wide range ofapplications such as gasketing, abrasion-resistant sleeving and cable insulation.Performance formulated for on-the-job reliability, Norprene® handles temperatures from -75˚F (-60˚C) to 275˚F (135˚C), allowing the use of one material with a broad range oftemperatures. It is heat sealable and can be joined without fittings. It also has excellentresistance to inorganic (acids and bases) fluids.
Unequalled Life in Peristaltic Pump ApplicationsPeristaltic pumps are used in a wide range of markets and applications. The universalrequirement common to these applications is the ability of the tubing to withstand theconstant high flexural fatigue exerted by the pump rollers. Norprene® outlasts andoutperforms virtually all other general service tubing in peristaltic pump applications due to its high flexural fatigue strength. (For additional details on peristaltic pump tubings referto the comprehensive Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics Peristaltic Pump Tubing section atwww.tygon.com.)
Ideal for Use in Vacuum SystemsNorprene® Industrial Grade Tubing is available in standard vacuum sizes that will withstanda full vacuum (29.9" [759mm] of mercury) at 73˚F (23˚C). Unlike typical rubber vacuumtubing, Norprene® resists the cracking and aging that are frequent causes of vacuum tubingfailure.
Available in Food Grade and Reinforced Pressure FormulationsThe unique properties of Norprene® tubing make it desirable for use in many foodprocessing applications. For these applications, always specify Norprene® Food ProcessTubing Formulation A-60-F.
Where elevated pressure capabilities are required, Norprene® Pressure Tubing FormulationA-60-F I.B. is available to withstand up to five times the pressure of non-reinforcedNorprene® tubing. (Refer to the Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics data page for additionalinformation on these select tubing products.)

Tygon® 2375 provides the highest degree of chemical resistance in clear, flexible tubing.
Unequaled Chemical ResistanceUntil now, many applications for clear flexible tubing were limited due to chemical attack from the fluid being transported. Tygon® 2375 Ultra Chemical Resistant Tubing broadens the range of usability with its expanded chemical resistance. The tubing is virtually unaffected by acids, bases, ketones, salts and alcohols (see Relative Chemical Resistance Properties chart on other side).
Environmentally FriendlyTygon® 2375 Ultra Chemical Resistant Tubing is unique when it comes to disposing. When properly incinerated, it does not release hazardous and corrosive hydrochloride gas, which contributes to acid rain.
Non-DEHP and Plasticizer FreeTygon® 2375 Ultra Chemical Resistant Tubing is entirely free of plasticizers, eliminating fluid contamination resulting from leaching plasticizers, a common occurrence with other flexible tubing.
Longer LifeTygon® 2375 has improved the maximum working pressure by 30-50% compared to 2075. It will not embrittle or crack prematurely due to extraction of plasticizer, thus providing a longer service life.

TYGON® 3350 Sanitary Silicone Tubingbiopharmaceutical products
“Engineered” Ultra-Smooth Inner SurfaceThe inner surface of TYGON® 3350 silicone tubing has been designed to reduce the riskof particle entrapment and microscopic build-up during fluid transfer. In-house analysisof the inner surface of TYGON 3350 silicone tubing compared to other silicone tubingshows that it is up to three times smoother. In addition, when compared to stainlesssteel tubing, TYGON 3350 tubing exhibits a smoother surface by a factor of up to 40.
A smoother fluid path also helps to facilitate complete sanitation of a fluid transfersystem. Even in repeat use applications, TYGON 3350 silicone tubing may prevent residuebuild-up, aiding in complete cleaning and sterilization.
Additionally, the smooth inner surface of the TYGON 3350 silicone tubing improves fluidflow characteristics by reducing surface area.
Lower Extractables and Superior BiocompatibilityTYGON 3350 silicone tubing is compounded to meet the most demanding requirementsof biocompatibility. In-house extractability tests have shown that TYGON 3350 siliconetubing has a low extractable content. Lower extractables help to maintain the purity oftransported fluids in sensitive applications.
Platinum-cured TYGON 3350 silicone tubing complies fully with the requirements of theUSP Class VI Criteria and is entirely non-toxic, non-hemolytic and non-pyrogenic.Additionally, TYGON 3350 silicone tubing meets 3-A Sanitary Standards, FDA 21 CFR Part177.2600 Criteria and NSF 51 Standard. Peristaltic Pump Systems Limit Risk of Fluid ContaminationPeristaltic pumping offers the advantage of efficiently transporting fluids without riskingcontact with any portion of the pump itself. To accomplish this, flexible tubing is insertedbetween the pump rollers and housing. As the rollers rotate around a stationary rotor, the tubing is “squeezed,” or occluded, pushing the fluid along through the inside tubingsurface. As the tubing behind each roller recovers its shape, a vacuum is created, drainingadditional fluid from behind the occluded tubing. During this process the fluid iscontained entirely within the flexible tubing, eliminating exposure (and risk of fluidcontamination) to any components of the pump.
Proper Tubing Selection Leads to Optimal PerformanceCrystal-clear TYGON® Long Flex Life Pump Tubing is formulated specifically for use inperistaltic pump applications. With its superior flex life characteristics, manufacturingprocesses can be simplified by reducing production downtime due to pump tubingfailure. (See Comparative Peristaltic Pump Tubing Life chart on back of page.) In-housetests indicate the excellent wear properties of TYGON Long Flex Life Pump Tubing alsolead to a reduction of particulate spallation. Limiting particle spallation can reduce theneed for frequent downstream filter replacement. This unique feature can also reducethe risk of sensitive-fluid contamination critical to many applications found in thepharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and high purity chemical industries.
Numerous Benefits to Specifying TYGON Long Flex Life TubingNon-aging characteristics and broad chemical resistance provide users with versatility fora wide variety of applications. Safe and non-toxic TYGON Long Flex Life Pump Tubing canbe produced in up to a 6" inside diameter, making it the ideal choice in bulk transferapplications. Additionally, TYGON Long Flex Life Tubing will withstand virtually allcommercial cleaning agents and bactericides without danger of corrosion (as withmetals) or oxidation (as with rubber). TYGON Long Flex Life Tubing can also be sterilizedthrough conventional autoclave methods (steam 30 minutes at 15 psi), making it ideal foruse in high purity process applications.
Long flex life pumptubing formulatedspecifically for use in peristaltic pumpapplications
Crystal-clear TYGON® Long Flex Life Pump Tubing optimizes peristaltic pump performance in numerousapplications including bulk transfer.

TYGON® R-3603 Laboratory and Vacuum Tubing
Provides Versatility for Today’s LaboratoriesCrystal clear and flexible, Tygon® Laboratory Tubing handles virtually all inorganic chemicals foundin the lab. It is non-oxidizing and non-contaminating.
Long-lasting and crack-resistant, Tygon® Laboratory Tubing is less permeable than rubber tubing. The glassy-smooth inner bore helps prevent buildup so that cleaning is facilitated. Coils aremarked at 3-foot intervals for easy measuring.
Tygon® Laboratory Tubing may be safely sterilized by coiling loosely in surgical muslin andautoclaving at 15 psi of steam for 30 minutes. Following initial sterilization, a shrinkage of 2%-4%may be noted. However, no further shrinkage should occur with subsequent sterilizations.
Due to its excellent chemical resistance, Tygon® Laboratory Tubing may also be sterilizedchemically or by gas (ethylene oxide). Coil tubing and wrap loosely in muslin or linen and followthe directions of your sterilization equipment manufacturer. Where aeration equipment such asvacuum and drying is required, follow the recommended times for degassing to ensure against gasretention and to reduce any residual concentration below known safety limits.
Secure Fitting AttachmentTygon® Laboratory Tubing has a Shore A Durometer of 55, which enables it to be slipped overfittings quickly and easily, and to grip securely. Its ability to bend readily to sharp radius curvesspeeds and simplifies laboratory set-ups.
Tygon® Laboratory Tubing is specially formulated for resistance to flex-fatigue and abrasion. Inmany peristaltic pump applications, it will outlast its nearest competitor by at least 2 to 1. As atubing for instrumentation connection, vent, drain, and other general laboratory applications,Tygon® Laboratory Tubing offers superior life, which minimizes the labor and expense ofreplacement.
Available in Vacuum Tubing SizesTygon® Vacuum Tubing has extra heavy walls that will withstand a full vacuum at roomtemperature (29.9" [759mm] of mercury at 73˚F [23˚C] and up to 27" [686 mm] of mercury at 140˚F[60˚C]). Like standard Tygon® Laboratory Tubing, Tygon® Vacuum Tubing resists most inorganicchemicals and can be used in corrosive atmospheres. Clarity allows monitoring for possiblebackups, which could result in equipment damage. Tygon® Vacuum Tubing will not swell closed ifvacuum pump oil should happen to back into it. Tygon® Vacuum Tubing has a low vapor pressure –less than 3 x 10-2 mm Hg at 140˚F.
The most consistently reliable tubing for the transfer of liquids and gases, Tygon® LaboratoryTubing handles virtually all inorganic chemicals found in today’s laboratories.
