REFLECTION

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

The generosity of being a good steward of your gifts has a positive effect on people, and it is

contagious! Good works encourage more good works. Let your light shine! Be careful to

recognize that God is working through you and don’t put yourself above the people you have

been called to help.

LEAVE A LEGACY: A properly prepared will can provide for two families – your own and

your parish family.

Our DSA 2020 assessment is $23,363.00

DONUT WEEKEND - BOOK EVENT 2020:

“PIONEERING SPIRIT – The History of St. Benedict Catholic Church from

Inception to Restoration” is a book about our parish written by Annie

Ferguson. This book will be presented and available during a book event on the

weekend of February 8th and 9th, 2020. All are invited to come and enjoy our

history. More information coming soon.

LADY’S GROUP will be going out to dinner on Wednesday, February 19th at 5:30pm. We will

meet at Mimi’s Bistro, located in Friendly Center, 3322 W Friendly Ave, Greensboro, NC 27410

Phone: (336) 2853-7811. All ladies are welcome to join us.

ALLERGY/FLU SEASON

It is allergy/flu season again. If you have it, please share your act of charity

and kindness by NOT receiving the cup of the Precious Blood of Christ. The

Church teaches us that if we receive just the Body or Blood of

Christ, we receive the whole Christ. Thank you for understanding.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK:

What darkness can I fill with the light of Christ that was entrusted to me

at baptism? How can my light overcome these examples of darkness?

This week let us say Happy Birthday to:

Jerome Mensah (2/8); Wendell Sawyer (2/8); Asa Robinson (2/10).
