Prayer for the Dead
God our Father, Your power brings us to birth, Your providence guides our lives, and by Your command
we return to dust.
Lord, those who die still live in Your presence,
their lives change but do not end.
I pray in hope for my family, relatives and friends,
and for all the dead known to You alone.
In company with Christ, Who died and now lives,
may they rejoice in Your kingdom, where all our tears are wiped away. Unite us together again in one family, to sing Your praise forever and ever.
Amen

SCHOOL YEAR 2015-2016
We welcomed grandparents and special guests for Mass and class performances on Wednesday, October 28
th. We were happy to
have a few parishioners join us as well. The children really enjoyed entertaining their guests!
Peeking into ...Grade 5! The fifth graders have been very busy. They have learned about characters, setting, problem, events and solution in the stories they have read. They have also worked on writing summaries for the stories in our reading curriculum. In writing, the students wrote poems about autumn or school. The students also learned about the parts of speech. They have been learning a “Parts of Speech Rap” that they performed on Grandparents’ day. In science, the fifth graders learned how changing variables can produce different results by experimenting with growing mold on bread in different conditions. They tested growing mold by adding more water to the bread, putting the bread in a hot temperature, and placing the bread in a cold temperature. The students were able to grow lots of mold. They love this “gross” experiment!
