INVITATION TO COURSE ON SAFETY IN WORKING AT HEIGHT OSHA - DSM Introduction Occupational Safety and Health Culture is of paramount important in any employment sector. A number of avoidable accidents and loss of life and properties in various workplaces has been reported to be caused by lack of safety culture. This is quite evident in construction industry especially in developing countries where studies have shown that in buildings, civil, towers erecting, excavation activities; major accidents/fatality is largely due to fall from height or falling objects. In this regards OSHA, a governmental agency responsible for enforcing occupational health and safety of workers in workplaces is organizing a three day course on safety in working at height from 31 st March to 3 rd April, 2015. Interested parties/individuals are invited to attend the course. The venue for the training will be at OSHA Kinondoni DSM. This is a full time course starting from 08:30 to 16:00 whereby OSHA certificates will be awarded to the successful participants at the end of the course. Please confirm your participation as early as possible. Target group: The course has been designed for all workers who are working above the ground such as in: Building and construction Telecommunication towers High voltage electrical power lines Course objectives The training programme is designed to provide participants with the skills, techniques and capacity to recognize, evaluate and put in place measures to reduce or eliminate occupational hazards and promote OHS at workplaces and hence improves safety and increase productivity. Fee for the course is 300,000/= per person. Payment should be made in favour of OSHA REVENUE ACCOUNT with account number 0150210411100, CRDB.
