APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

TUITION REIMBURSEMENT

Registered as a national apprenticeship approved by the Department of Labor and Department of Veteran Affairs in April 2006, Werner established the industry’s first Truck Driver Apprenticeship Program.

Any driver with 12 months or less experience can enroll into the program for up to 24 months.

Eligible military community members can receive up to $25,327.20 in tax-free VA educational benefits in addition to their Werner pay.

Introduced in August 2013, this program reimburses military community members who use VA educational benefits to pay for truck driving school, paid directly to the eligible member, not to exceed $15,000.
