The Bathroom

• To ensure that your children are safe in the bathtub, you should place down non-slip mats. This will prevent them from slipping over.

• Having a lock on your bathroom door is the best idea. This will make sure that your child does not get locked in the bathroom accidentally. This can cause a worry due to the bathroom holding any risks.

• Keep all electrical's like razors, hair straighteners and dryers out of the bathroom.

The Kitchen

• If you currently keep your cleaning products in a low cupboard, you should think about raising them to a higher position. If you are unable to do this, add a latch or lock to the lower doors.

• When using the stove, use the furthest away hobs. This is so children will not be in such risk of being harmed from them.

• If you have a pet, their food should not be in reach of your children as this can be a chocking hazard. When feeding your pet, you should stay nearby until they are finished and then move the bowl

Their Bedroom

• If they have a toy box, remove the lid to prevent them from trapping their fingers.

• Remove all of those teddy's and toys from the baby's crib. They may be cute, but could also be a suffocating problem.

• Having a baby monitor is also very useful. Certain monitors will alarm you if there is problem with breathing which is very useful.

• You may think that having plug ins for sockets is a good idea, however they are a choking hazard. It is now a much better idea to have sliders over the plugs.

The Lounge

• Think about sticking the television to the wall. This will help prevent the TV from falling on top of the child if they end up playing with it.

• Keep plants and ornaments out of reach. Your child may think they look tasty and can cause them to be choked.

• Bolt furniture like book shelves to the wall to prevent them from falling down

• Keep your fireplace shielded.
