MASS INTENTIONS for Mar 21--27 2016

Pastor’s Pen By Fr. Luke Ferris

“I tell you, if they keep silent, the stones will cry out!” (Luke 19:40) These words of Jesus invite us to share his emotions and

desires as he enters Jerusalem on this Palm Sunday. Jesus comes with great joy in the name of God his Father. He rides on a gentle donkey to bring his deep desire for peace. His disciples cry out their union with Jesus, “Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord. Peace in heaven and glory in the highest.” (Luke 19:38) Yet Jesus knows that some of the leaders of Jerusalem will have none of it. So they tell Jesus to keep his disciples quiet. But we let Jesus move in our hearts. As he parades into Jerusalem, so he rides into our hearts. We want to be with him but we know as he does that suffering comes before his glory. So we ask Jesus to let the stones cry out to us.

Gratefully yours,

Fr. Luke

Extreme Faith Camp Adult Needed

We currently have 18 students signed up for

Extreme Faith Camp this year! Since there is

such a large number of youth attending we

need to have another Virtus trained adult

chaperone attend from our parish. It will be a

week of faith-filled fun, June 13-17, with youth

in middle and high school at Camp Tekakwitha.

If you would like more information or would

like to volunteer please contact Megan Neveau.

If your student in grades 6-8 would like to still

attend Extreme Faith Camp,

please contact Megan Neveau as soon as

possible to sign up!

More information coming soon about a youth trip to Lifest in Oshkosh on

Saturday, July 9 featuring Matt Maher!
