EVENING PRAYER (VESPERS) FOR LAETARE

From ancient times the Church has had the custom of celebrating each day the liturgy of the hours. In this way the church fulfills the Lord’s precept to pray without ceasing at once offering its praise to God the Father and interceding for the salvation of the world. On Sunday, March 11th at 4 o’clock in the upper church you are invited to participate in the Evening Prayer of the Church for Laetare Sunday. Psalms, of which the music was arranged by Robert W. Blake, Jr., Director of Liturgical Music of the Parish, will be prayed. The entire service lasts about one hour. Please make an effort as part of the Lenten season to participate in this honored prayer of the universal church.
