It is hard to believe that Lent will start in two weeks – Ash Wednesday is March 6. We have a great opportunity to start getting ready for Lent (because it will start at about spring break time) with our parish mission. I have seen Tatia- na Tajci Cameron before and I can say that you will love it. Take the time now while you can and plan to attend as many nights as you can – all of the sessions is a great goal, but not necessary to benefit from this opportunity to grow in your faith. She will inspire you with her music and inspirational talks on healing, loving and uplifting others. I think even our middle school students would enjoy it. We learned at the last principal’s meeting, that we are not going to be required to make up all the days. I stated earlier that we had almost 4 build into our calendar for this year (in Kansas we count hours). As an Archdiocesean school, we go above what the state requires because we have religion. We are above the current state requirements by not making up the last snow day. Having said that, knowing that education is what is most important, if there is anoth- er snow day (hoping we are done with them) we will likely make it up on Easter Monday, April 22. Finally, I think one of the early calendars published for this year, had a half day of school on March 8, the Friday before spring break. We do not have school at all on that day, as published on the calendar at the beginning of the school year. Joyfully in Christ, Kathy Rhodes

Dear Sacred Heart Families:

What a crazy winter it has been! It is hard to believe that Lent will start in two weeks – Ash Wednesday is March 6. We have a great opportunity to start getting ready for Lent (because it will start at about spring break time) with our parish mission. I have seen Tatia-na Tajci Cameron before and I can say that you will love it.

Having said that, knowing that education is what is most important, if there is anoth-er snow day (hoping we are done with them) we will likely make it up on Easter Monday, April 22.

Finally, I think one of the early calendars published for this year, had a half day of school on March 8, the Friday before spring break. We do not have school at all on that day, as published on the calendar at the beginning of the school year.

Joyfully in Christ,

Kathy Rhodes
