Emergency Collection for Victims of Hurricane Irma

Cardinal Daniel DiNardo of Galveston-Houston, president of the USCCB has asked the bishops in the United States to take an extraordinary collection the weekend of September 23-24th on behalf of those devastated in parts of the Caribbean and southeastern United States by Hurricane Irma.

These funds will be used to support the efforts of Catholic Charities USA and other church partners as they reach out to provide humanitarian aid in the form of water, food, shelter, and medical care. Funds will also contribute to long-term efforts to restore communities who have suffered widespread destruction. Another portion of the funds will allow the USCCB to assist the affected local Churches with pastoral and reconstruction aid in the Caribbean and the United States. _____________________________________________________________

Shield the Vulnerable Training Richard Roman will be offering an on-line course at Monsignor Moran Hall on Thursday, September 28, at 7 pm. It’s about 1 ½ hours. RSVP with Richard Roman at 249-0022.

All volunteers that act as chaperones or are involved in activities where they are interacting with youth are required to take this on-line Diocesan Course “Protect the Vulnerable” and be fingerprinted. Please call for more information. ____________________________________________________________

Sacred Heart Auxiliary - News The Sacred Heart Auxiliary will be having a membership drive on Saturday & Sunday, 9/23 & 9/24, after each Mass. Please join us.

Arise Together in Christ Sacred Heart Church is beginning a 6-week adult faith formation to develop a closer relationship with Christ, grow in community, and reach out in service to others. The series is called “Encountering Christ Today”. It will begin in Monsignor Moran Hall on October 10

th at 6 pm and continue until the

La Colecta Emergencia por Víctimas de Huracán Irma
