DIOCESAN FORMATION PROGRAM: Hearts Transformed (HT)
Do you have a desire to go deeper in your personal life of faith?

HEARTS TRANSFORMED is a new nine month personal and parish formation program
beginning in October 2016 in the diocese of Prince George.
This program focuses on developing a Christ-like heart by:
LIVING the Eucharist as a way of life. INTEGRATING the treasures of our faith.
DEEPENING our life of prayer and discernment. ACTIVATING our gifts as Missionary Disciples
HT is an interactive opportunity for personal renewal and spiritual growth, which fosters stronger faith
communities in union with local pastors and parishes. It is rooted in Scripture, the teaching of the Church and
the wisdom of the Saints. HT uses a methodology currently bearing fruit in many faith communities through-
out the world.
Practically, HT consists of:
An opening Saturday retreat (either in PG, Terrace, or Dawson Creek)
12 learning modules (that are viewed and reflected on in your own parish community/group, daily personal study and prayer guides to internalize the material more deeply)
A closing Saturday retreat in Prince George for graduation.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team in the diocesan curia, providing secretarial support to the Bishop;
assist the Vicar General, the Chancellor and Vice-chancellor as needed.
The successful candidate will have competent computer skills (MS Word); excellent written and verbal communication
and interpersonal skills; familiarity with Church structures and personnel; ability to work independently and collabora-

The position is 35 hours per week.

Diocesan Assembly –Embraced by Our Father’s Mercy
Once every two years we meet as an entire diocese in Prince George for a time of inspiration and faith formation. The
time has arrived. In just TEN DAYS our Diocesan Assembly kicks off. Have you registered yet? It takes place Sept 21-
23 (Wed evening to Friday at noon). Over 200 people gathered at the last assembly and the reviews were very strong!
This year, Jake and Heather Khym will be coming from the Vancouver area to plumb the depths of the Father’s Mercy.
Both are excellent presenters. The event kicks off with a talk, and a wine and cheese on the Wednesday evening. Thurs-
day includes breakfast and lunch, two talks by the Khyms, and workshops in the afternoon (including one by Jake and
Heather as they share their journey through a pornography addiction as a family). Friday concludes with presentations

Iconography Workshop- October 21- 2,, 211 at Sacred Heart Parish. Terrace, BC
Write your own personal authentic Byzantine style icon, in traditional egg tempura technique, with the instruction and
guidance of experienced iconographer, Mr. Frank Turner.
This full time, eight day workshop will take place at Sacred Heart Church in Terrace, October 21-29, 2016. Mr. Turner is
an iconographer with over 25 years of experience and a founding member of the Epiphany Sacred Arts Guild, in Van-
couver.
Instruction, icon boards, drawings, pigments, brushes, and all materials needed for everyone to complete their own icon
are included in the workshop fee. Please contact Michael Panchuk at 250 635-3894 prior to September 10, 2016 for more
information and to reserve your place in this unique experience. Billeting can be arranged if required.
Cana Donovan is coming back! If you were at the Pro-Life Dessert fundraiser earlier this year you know who Cana is. She was a guest speaker and she did a fantastic job! Cana works for the Canadian Centre for Bio-ethical Reform and is on the front line of the abortion war.
