PRAYER SQUARE As Christians we are called to pray for everyone in a difficult time of life. To protect the privacy of those for whom we are praying we ask that permission be received before a name is placed for prayer request. We will keep the names in the Prayer Square for two weeks. If you would like them to be included longer, please call the church office or submit another prayer request.

Please keep the following members of Paxton in your prayers: Dale Williams, Jean Herrold, Jack Moore, Elwood Wertz, Jo Cain, DeDe Moore, Cathy Roland, Keith Birth Continued Prayers: Krista Baer, Luke Szekeres, Ken Schappell, Jim Gischel, Jane Rickert, LCDR Sarah Granger, Carmen DeLuccia, Erin Francis-Friel, Lori Giroux, November 20- Rob Bozart, Brent Barclay, Bradley Kutz, Shawn Lasko, Pearl Weaver, Gloria Tarby, Joey Burrnett, the Strous family Each week we will be praying for our brothers and sisters in Christ within our Presbytery. This week we are praying for the Millerstown Presbyterian Church.

December's Souper Sunday will be on 18th! During this Christmas Season, take a few minutes to enjoy hot, homemade soup courtesy of Bill and Marilyn LaDieu. This will give you a chance to socialize with your Paxton friends. You know you will need a break by then!

It's Time to Sing Carols Around the Campfire! On Wednesday, December 21st at 6:30, come to Paxton's annual Campfire Carol Sing! We offer a crackling fire, hot chocolate, hot-dogs, fine voices and great camaraderie. If you have some Christmas cookies you are will-ing to share, they are always welcome!!! Richard Peiffer will also be presenting his train lay-outs in the cabin. There is something very special about Christmas Carols outside in the dark night around a fire; the smell of burning wood, hot chocolate, and hotdogs surrounding us; and the warm glow of the season and sharing it with friends. If you have not come in the past, make this the year you do.

During This Christmas Season, Give the Gift of Church! During this Holy time, family and friends draw closer. Our Church has so many wonderful programs this season, why not invite a friend, coworker, or family member to come to Church to enjoy one of them with you? It is a very simple and friendly way to share Paxton in this joyous season.

Thank you! Thanks to Patty Bowers for organizing last week's Veterans' Day program. Her hard work was much appreciated by all. Our continual thanks go to all veterans and those currently serving. We can never repay the debt we owe to you.

People: Visiting the sick, He heals us. Leader: Dying on the cross, He saves us. People: Risen from the dead, He gives new life. Leader: Therefore we praise You, joining our voices with choirs of angels and with

all the faithful of every time and place, who forever sing to the glory of Your name.

SANCTUS (Sung by Choir) Gounod Unison: Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again. Our father

who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the king-dom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

AGNUS DEI (Sung by Choir) Willan THE WORDS OF INSTITUTION

THE COMMUNION As we celebrate communion, we have the opportunity to serve one another. This reflects our belief in the priesthood of all believers. When you pass the tray to the person next to you, quietly say, “The body of Christ broken for you,” or, “The blood of Christ shed for you.” An appropriate response is simply, “Amen.” There should be no rush; take time to serve one another.

Bread: In silence, wait and receive together Cup: You may receive as you are served.

FALL MEMORY WORK #2 November 20 - 27

Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the Lord,

all the earth. Worship the Lord with gladness;

come into his presence with singing.

Know that the Lord is God. It is he that made us, and we are his;

we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with

thanksgiving, and his courts with praise.

Give thanks to him, bless his name.

For the Lord is good; his steadfast love endures

forever, and his faithfulness to all

generations.

ALLISON HILL MEALS ON WHEELS NEEDS OUR HELP!

Allison Hill Meals on Wheels, which operates out of 15th Street United Methodist Church, is in desperate need of volunteers. The commitment is for 1.5 hours once a week , or less frequently if you'd like. The program is now delivering a hot meal three days a week and two frozen meals on one of those days due to a lack of volunteers. It appears that they may soon only deliver frozen meals if more volunteers aren't found.If you would like to talk about the possibility of volunteering please contact Linette Burd at 558-8991

BAKING SPIRITS BRIGHT

Calling all bakers. This year's Cookie Sale will take place on

Saturday, December 10th.

We know some of you have favorites that you bake each year. If you would like to bake those cookies this year, please let the cookie committee know. Perhaps some of you have a specialty that you would like to share with us or have been unable to bake in the past but would like to do so this year. There will be sign-up sheets today in the Great Room. We will have traditional recipes and some new recipes. Once again, we will include cookie recipes that require “no baking” or are for those bakers who might be "short on time”. A total of 12-15 dozen of each cookie is needed. We hope you will consider helping out this year. Thank you. If you have any questions, please contact any of the Cookie Committee members.
