She has been the Chairperson of Delhi
Judicial Academy from July 2009 to July 2011.
She holds PhD from University of Delhi. She
has also been Commonwealth fellow in Warwick university in UK
in 1998, and has done post-doctoral research
on Juvenile Justice in the UK.
She is committed to promoting Justice in legal
education in India
Born on 13th August, 1959 at Delhi.
Studied at Delhi Public School,
Mathura Road, New Delhi and
passed the CBSE Examination in
1976 and joined Hans Raj College,
Delhi University. Thereafter, did
LLB from Campus Law Centre,
Delhi University and enrolled as
an advocate with the Bar Council
of Delhi in July, 1982. Initially
joined a solicitor's firm for 3
years and thereafter practiced
law in the Delhi High Court and
the subordinate courts mainly on
the original side in the fields of
real estate, family, civil and
arbitration laws.

Raj iv Aggarwal is present ly serving as Joint Secretary in-charge of administer ing Inte l lectual Property Rights in the Government of India . He is thus the key person in deal ing with WIPO, as a lso bi lateral and mult i lateral
negot iat ions in the f ie ld of Inte l lectual Property . In
addit ion , he was a lso the Control ler General of Patents , Designs and
Trademarks dur ing the past year , responsib le for
implementat ion of industr ia l property r ights inc luding GIs . He has thus
had the unique opportunity of working very c losely in the f ie ld of IPRs , both at
pol icy and execut ion levels . An off icer belonging to the
Indian Administrat ive Service , Raj iv Aggarwal has
more than 24 years of administrat ive experience.

Ms. Sharma is a Law Graduate as
well as a Science Graduate
(Chemistry) from Delhi
University. She is the Senior most
member of the Firm as has been
a part of the Firm since past 13
years. Initially she started her
carrier with trademark
prosecution and thereafter
expanded to the IP litigation
practise. Her forte has expanded
to complex patent litigation in
Bio-tech, Pharma and Chemicals
sector. She has handled various
high-profile cases in the field of
Patents, Biologics/Biosimilars,
Data protection, Designs and
trademarks. Ms. Sharma is an
active member of INTA & APAA
and has also been elected as an
Executive member of AIPPI for
Indian Group.
Dr. Alka Chawla Professor

She has authored two books on Copyright Law, the latest being "Law of Copyright: Comparative
Perspectives" (2013). She has presented papers at various forums namely
WIPO, USPTO, FICCI, TERRI, Swiss Institute of Comparative Law,
Switzerland, ESCP, Europe, Paris, Chandigarh Judicial
Academy, Delhi Judicial Academy, Orissa Judicial Academy, National Police
Academy.

Sudeep Chatter jee obtained his law degree from Lucknow
Univers i ty in 2000 and a lso has done master ’s in software development and software engineering. He handles a l l
infr ingement matters re lat ing to copyright and trademarks and
domain-re lated issues inc luding f i l ing of UDRP complaints . He has
handled var ious h igh-prof i le cases in the f ie ld of Copyright ,
Trademarks , Data protect ion , ant i - counterfeit ing and UDRP. He was a lso a part of the Par l iamentary Standing Committees which was
const i tuted to look into the Copyright Amendment B i l l , 2010. He
is the Secretary of the Asian Patent Attorneys Associat ion ( Indian group) and is a lso a member of the associat ion ’s
copyright committee besides being a Counci l Member of APAA. He is a lso a member of the INTA non-
tradit ional marks committee (2016 – 2017) and has been se lected for INTA Copyright Committee (2018 –
2019) . In the year 2015 he was awarded “Ris ing Star below 40” by LegalEra . WIPR has recognized him as “Leaders in Trademarks” for the years 2016 & 2017 whi le “Chambers
& Partners” has ranked him as “Band 3 Inte l lectual Property
L i t igat ion Lawyer in India”
Vivek is Alumni of prestigious NIT
Punjab and IIT Kharagpur. He is
involved in the litigation portfolio
of the firm and is particularly
involved Patent, Trademarks, and
Drug Regulatory issues. He also
has wide experience in Patent
drafting, Patent prosecution and
other contagious proceedings
like revocation, compulsory
licensing and pre-grant/post-
grant oppositions. Vivek has
deep interest in Constitutional
Law and Law and Economics. He
has several research/review
papers to his credit. He also
speaks at different seminars and
consortium organized by various
academic institutions like IITs,
NITs, NLS, and other central
universities on topics touching
upon the intellectual property
and constitutionality of laws.
Vivek Ranjan Senior Associate,

of the University of Osmania and
holds a Master in Business Laws
(MBL) degree from the National
Law School of India University
(NLSIU), Bangalore. Archana
holds a Bachelor’s Degree in
Electronics (Hons.) from Delhi
University. She is also an
Advocate-on-Record before the
Supreme Court of India. She was
admitted to the Bar in 2007,
joined the Firm in the same year
and is currently the Associate
Partner in the Firm. While her

prosecution and opposition
team handling various client
portfolios. She is also a part
of brand enforcement team.
Earlier she was working in
the Patent and Trademark
litigation team handling
Standard Essential Patent
litigation in the same firm.
During her LLB she has
written various articles and
done extensive research in
the field of Intellectual
Property Law.
Devanshu completed his engineering in
the field of Information Technology and
then went onto pursue his LL.B. from
Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.
Devanshu has closely worked with the
Think Tank which was entrusted with the
momentous task of drafting India’s first
National IPR policy. Devanshu is also a
registered Patent Agent with the Indian
Intellectual Property Office. Before
commencing work at Singh & Singh,
Devanshu worked in the chambers of Mrs.
Prathiba M. Singh, Senior Advocate for
two years. He was also appointed as a
facilitator by the Government of India
under the Start-UPs Intellectual Property
Protection(SIPP) Scheme. He has also
assisted various departments of the
Government on critical issues such as
guidelines relating to ‘Patentability of
Computer Related Inventions’. Devanshu
is currently part of the Patent Litigation
team and has actively worked on matters
involving Standard Essential Patents
(SEPs) and pharmaceutical patents.

Centre’, a project by NRDC,
DSIR, GoI from 2014-2016.
She has authored research

Biotechnology and IP. She
has been working in the
Patent litigation and
prosecution since August,
2016.
Mansee Teotia completed her
B.Tech. from University School of
Biotechnology, Indraprastha
University. Thereafter, she
completed her Bachelor's degree
in Law (Hons in IP) from Rajiv
Gandhi School of Intellectual
Property, IIT Kharagpur. She is a
registered Indian Patent Agent.
Previously, she was associated
with a leading automobiles
component manufacturer
company as an IP Counsel. She is
presently working as an
